Good location but small and dark rooms

This hotel does not exist anymore. When you book, they transfer your reservation to another hotel in t he old town. The location is very central but rooms are very small and dark. My room did not have any windows at all.

部屋は広くて使いやすいです。 大きなバス停が近くにあり便利でした。 スタッフは皆さん親切です。 シャワーの量が少ないのと、お湯が途中でぬるくなりましたが許容範囲でした。

Clean comfortable and accomodating

The genial was super clean and centeal just a short 5 minute walk to old quarter where you have unlimited access to shopping, spas and a long list at the breakfast bar. The staff here was super accomodating and friendly and they were able to communicate in english for everything we needed. Our deluxe room was spacious, bed was comfy and super clean! Our room faced the main road which can be loud late evening so id recommend ear plugs if you have troubles sleeping. Would recommend thw genial and stay here again.

Very friendly staff, limited English communication but enough to get by. Room was clean, comfortable mattress and easy hot water for shower. It is greatly located in the Old Quarter and it was surprisingly quiet at night to sleep (which is great). The bathroom was slightly uncomfortable to use it because it was tiny and the room had no windows to the outside, only a small window to the hallway of our floor (?). Breakfast buffet was delicious with some local and Western food options alike.

Our first double room had 2 singles beds one side pushed up against the wall, one was very hard and the other very saggy. Shower and door we in a tiny space and sink outside the door. It was ok. Clean sheets hot shower reasonable price

Hanoi Genial Hotel is a comfortable, well-maintained and very clean accommodations. This budget priced hotel is a wonderful gem, which easily exceeds much more expensive lodgings in downtown Hanoi. Hanoi Genial Hotel is very easy to find and it's located near countless good restaurants and stores for shopping. Hanoi Genial Hotel is within an easy walk to Hoa Lo Prison, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Thang Long Imperial Citadel and many other popular sightseeing attractions. Hotel staff were always friendly and helpful during my entire two-week stay there. A complimentary hearty breakfast was offered daily with omelette, steamed vegetables, noodles, rice, toast, fresh and delicious local fruit, juices, tea, coffee and much more. Front desk staff effortlessly helped me with directions, sightseeing ideas and precisely made my reservations for airport transfers. Tyra did an amazing job of organizing three different multi-day side-trips for me. All three of these tours were very well organized, fun and had competitive prices when compared to what other travel agencies offered. When returning from an overnight night visit to Sapa I arrived at the Hanoi bus station late at night. Front desk arranged for a bellboy to meet me, and he ordered a taxi upon my arrival to ensure my safe travels back to Hanoi Genial Hotel. Hanoi Genial Hotel was my home away from home while in Vietnam.

The only problem I had was with Google maps . Because Vietnamese has tones indicated by accent marks there was confusion between two properties in different locations with a similar address.

Very good location. Great value for the money. Breakfast buffet is nice on the top floor with an interesting view. Staff is welcoming, courteous and competent. The street on which the hotel is located is pretty lively, which I liked (I had a room with a city view and a balcony). Would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Hanoi.

The soundproof of the room need to improve. As well as power outlet in the room. A family room with only 1 power outlet and I have to charge my phone in the shower room. However, I manage to find 2md power outlet just behind the sofa when the time I plan to check out.

The room I booked had no window opening to outside which I had to change at a cost of around USD 12/ day which was a bad experience. However, the staff were very kind and helpful and the breakfast was much better than experienced in other hotels we stayed in Vietnam. Location was also very convenient.
