Theres a nice lawn with a lake view at the back of the motel rooms which is a lovely spot to finish the day with a good book and cold drink. Otherwise, we had a friendly welcome on our arrival, a nice walk along the lake and everything we could want from a motel room.

This was our favorite stay in New Zealand. Comfortable house in the cute town of Twizel with lots of dining options, two grocery stores, amazing stars, and convenient to Mt Cook. The house is in a neighborhood so a bit tricky to find at night, but very comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen and a good set up for a family. My only suggestions would be to add lamps (why do New Zealanders hate bedside lamps??) and maybe a few DVDs (after a long day of hiking, would have been nice to watch a family movie!). Overall we loved it - and eat at Mint Folk & Co in town if you can!

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary and was very Disappointed. The hot tub was leaking and we had to get them to come and fill it up during the evening. $40 for a continental breakfast per person is insane as well. Don’t think we will be back next year
