The mountain view from the rooms is great. A table and chairs is provided both inside and outside and so, depending on the weather, you can enjoy your breakfast (or lunch / dinner) whilst taking in the view. Location perfect to start the many walks that begin in Halls Gap.

Kookaburra Lodge was a great place to stay for our first time to Halls Gap. Right in town and even walking distance away from some of the Grampians trails! Simple, clean rooms and friendly staff. I really enjoyed it.

The property was older style (a lot are in Halls Gap), but is was really clean, warm, good room facilities and comfy bed. A great price and quiet. Plenty of wildlife to see and Kangaroos on the front lawn.

friendly owner, no pre pay booking online--cash is fine, close to shops, attractions etc, quiet, clean. room contained all needed for low cost motel. have paid twice the price in other locations for similar if not lesser quality rooms. will stay again when next in town

Location was convenient to downtown Halls Gap. Out the back sliding door was pasture land with sheep as well as kangaroos in the evening. The restaurants were within walking distance and the food was great. When for a hike the next morning to Fish Falls. It was very pretty. Would not recommend the hike for those with mobility issues. Very steep stairs and uneven ground.

Stated 1 night passing through the town, it was standard motel, nothing special or bad… Good things were, it was quiet, very convenient location, it has some kitchenette and dining table, and clean despite of its age. So, overall, good place to stay, exploring the Grampians.

Views of the Grampians were a nice surprise, and addition to the sheep and ducks and cockatoos that visited the back porch. It was quiet, as the street is off the Main Street but easy walking distance to all the features of Halls Gap, ( Ice creamery and bakery!). Basic hotel room but had all we needed at a good price.
