Great room, external to main pub, so we were able to access it well after midnight (after Latitude festival)without any issues. Great breakfast and very friendly hosts

Great experience - Value for money
This is a good place to stay if you want explore the coast and local towns such as Southwold. Car essential.
Liked having a spacious room, large bathroom , and porch. Being in an annexe, it was quiet.
Loved being able to walk out of the premises and straight on to the footpath by the river.
We had a comfortable stay, staff very kind and room super clean. View and setting amazing and lovely to be woken by all the varied bird calls. One issue - the wifi doesn’t work in the rooms outside where we were which was very frustrating- a booster or secondary terminal is needed to serve these rooms.
The Inn was on the main road but room was in a lovely independent "cottage" behind main building and was very private and very quiet. Spotlessly clean, piping hot water, own car park alongside the unit. Delicious full English breakfast. I expected a nice country inn but was astonished with this place. The staff were welcoming and delightful. I dined with friends living locally so only had breakfast. Great situation looking right over River Blyth. A thoroughly relaxing and pleasurable experience.
We received a nice welcome late in the evening for our one-night stay in transit to destinations nearby. Look for the illuminated church if arriving after dark. The roadside location is very convenient. Due to ongoing refurbishment breakfast was at a sister venue down the road but that was fine and there was no other disruption from the works. The rooms are in a converted stable block behind so you feel nicely isolated and away from the road, and there is a scenic waterside view from the rear window. Two minor gripes: there was no shaving mirror in the bathroom and the glazed panel in the external door to the room could impact on privacy unless you hang a coat or towel over it (there is a hook allowing just that).

Disliked: Staff & service
Not dog friendly
Advertised as dog friendly and it isn’t. Staff brusque and not very helpful at all. Charged me for a stay they told me I couldn’t make. Not a good experience.
Nice, warm and private room out the back. Nice traditional Inn serving delicious kippers for breakfast (other options available).
It’s good that we were able to charge our electric car through the window.
The property was at the top of our expectations.
One big disappointment: breakfast. Thus:
The breakfast room was cold, with no attempt at heating.
We pre ordered the meals we wanted, and advised the start time. Despite this preparation we waited 20 minutes for the food to be laid on the table. Hot food, but the plates were cold- a disaster considering the room temperature. Even the tea and coffee suffered from the ambient temperature. Then came the toast and butter, but not accompanied by jam, marmalade, cheese, or Marmite, as shown on the menu.
We couldn't complain, as the waiting time was already beginning to eat into the time of our next venue.
This big disappointment apart, all other features of the White Hart were Very Good.
The staff were very pleasant they made us feel welcome.we had dinner there which was excellent and the breakfast was first class. The room was comfortable and the view from out room was lovely to was also quiet. We would certainly stay there again.
Lovely spot, nice room but! The bathroom lights didn’t work,so it was dark at night time. Toilet seat kept sliding to one side. Nowhere to hang or place your towels in the bathroom which was really annoying. Breakfast was half cold. Bar staff a bit off. It’s definitely not worth £150.00 a night! Apart from that it was nice. At least the bed was comfy.
The property is in a beautiful setting overlooking the estuary. The pub is pretty as are the gardens. The accommodation is grounds which keeps it quiet and private.
The staff are so lovely friendly and friendly.
The breakfasts are delicious.
