One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Room was excellent with an amazing Mountain View. Full amenities and top notch service. Staff goes above and beyond and are personable and friendly, even as English speaking tourists. The breakfast was delicious and a perfect mix of made to order hot dishes along with a large spread of buffet items. The best hotel in Hakuba if you want a luxurious and relaxing experience.

10/10 Excellent

Very friendly and helpful staff, better English than I expected. More or less traditional ryokan, with tatami floors. The room is spacious during the day when the futons are rolled up (the staff does that for you), and the futons are very comfortable to sleep on. Breakfast included in the price of the room was excellent. Dinner was extra, but not expensive--about $25 for a first-class, elegant Japanese dinner. Will probably stay in the same place next time to Hakuba.

Avanti Chalet Hakuba

Hokujo

10/10 Excellent

My friends and I spent 6 nights at Avanti Chalet during our stay in Japan. We were amazed at the quality and size of the property, I highly recommend staying here. Our hosts were very accommodating and helpful, they went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. A small update to the property description; there's two bathrooms, not one. This property easily accommodated 4 people with plenty room to spare.
