A Kuna Yala man headed out to fish. If you have ever dreamed of spending a night or two on a small, private island, check out Kuna Yala. If you don't like roughing it a little bit, this might not be for you. There are cabins with flushing toilets but no electricity and the shower water is rather cool. San Blas is a beautiful comarca off the coast of Panama in habited by the Guna (Kuna) Yala people. 365 islands - "one for every day of the year". Fairly difficult to get to, requiring a 4 hour jungle overland, or you can boat in. We chartered a catamaran with a fun family crew for 4 days and that was a great way to see all the islands and get an authentic experience! (p.s. The Guna Yala are one of the shortest people but love basketball) :)
