BIG fan of this property -- mostly because of the people. While a bit dated, that's part of the charm and the staff was some of the friendliest I've experienced. Super helpful, super accommodating, and super friendly. A short, mostly pretty walk to "downtown" made it easy to not have to drive a lot and outside of losing power (not in their control), it was a great, relaxing stay! Can't wait to come back and try their dining options (and sadly skipped breakfast, too much to do!).

Family staycation in the rain was lovely

We loved our stay at the Stavrand. Very cozy, nice amenities, wonderful breakfast. It was pouring rain so we were stuck inside with our 2.5 year old but with a lovely sitting area, fireplaces, boardgames, and smore kits we had a lot of fun. Look forward to staying again.

The Stavrand is an exceptional property; right away it is noticeable how the staff cares about their patrons. They go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The location is an easy drive to any winery and walkable to downtown Guerneville for food and drink; be sure to hit up the local bank turned into an ice cream shop!

We cannot recommend our stay at the Stavrand enough. The staff went out of the way to make our stay memorable and enjoyable, providing really warm, professional service throughout, and taking a genuine interest in our trip. Emily, the owner, couldn’t have been more helpful; she offered amazing advice based on what we were doing in the area anyway, and on leaving, gave us pointers for San Francisco - all of which turned out to be fabulous! The whole property is thoughtfully and beautifully decorated, and we had a superb room in Belden house. It feels really cosy and quaint whilst retaining modernity. We would highly recommend dining there in the evening if you get a chance to. The food was incredible, and the staff went out of the way to accommodate us. Hope they can open up the offer more widely in the future!

The staff is so warm and friendly. They went out of their way to accommodate my toddler. The property is beautiful and relaxing. There is space to explore and wander. Check out the garden area and hang out at night by the fire pits.
