This property would be exceptional if it added additional touches such as robes, slippers, working fireplaces, and retouched rooms. Walls and doors were scuffed throughout, just needed some TLC. Grounds are gorgeous and enjoyed food at restaurant.

Cabin cleanliness was not excellent but acceptable. The staff at the restaurant were really nice and professional but the spa receptionist was impolite and dismissive. This was a bummer because we were on a girls' trip and spa was supposed to be a big part of it but we had to do something else because the behavior we encountered at the spa when we went to inquire about services for the next day was not acceptable.

Check in staff was a little un-hospitable - very transactional. The room was freezing and water would not warm past like warm (over at the Grove). Staff made up for the poor check in experience the next day- extremely warm and professional offering to switch rooms. The Spa staff was incredibly attentive as is the bar staff. The property is adorable- cozy, rustic but high end. The event activities (yoga) are also wonderful! Would definitely stay here again!

Our second time staying here and it’s always so beautiful. We love the nature, heated outdoor pools for our kiddos, complimentary yoga classes and kayaking . Just beautiful property! Only thing they didn’t have for both days we stayed was the complimentary coffee station at the lodge . They kept saying we have complimentary coffee in our rooms .

I want to say don’t come here because it’s so good. Probably safe from before being overrun though as it was not crowded. The restaurant, on the other hand, is very popular which can be a problem if don’t want to leave the property. Mixed blessing there but food and cocktails are extremely good.

The property is beautiful and very well maintained! The cottage we stayed in was adorable and super clean! Only a 25 min drive along the Russian River to Goat Rock Beach! We’d definitely recommend staying here with a family and girl friends weekend! We enjoyed the atmosphere and gardens!

A tranquil location with several areas to walk our dog. The cabin was very small. Only room for a bed, two night stands and a cabinet. Near everything we needed; Safeway and good restaurants.

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay at the newly revamped Dawn Ranch. Went for a couples weekend and did the cottage, spa, dinner. Cozy fun vibes. Reduced stars for cottage being a little cold/drafty (that’s me), spa being a little intense about the rules, and restaurant as well. They had to turn away sooooo many ppl without reservations so def make them for dinner! Free wine tasting and excellent masseuse a plus.
