The hotel is in good location at walking distance of city center and train station. It has good facilities ( maybe a safety box would be great and electricity connections at bedside table). Otherwise, the bed, pillows and furniture make the room very comfortable. And you have coffee and tea for free at the lobby. It was a very nice stay

Cute hotel. Very clean. We enjoyed the location ; not in the market but just a short walk and very quiet. 10minute walk to train station. Cute lobby with a small bar. Crisp white linen, nice bathroom with tub. Staff was very friendly. Coffee machine in lobby so you can enjoy coffee or cappuccino 24 hours. Didn’t eat at the restaurant as we wondered out if the hotel in the morning. Would definitely book again!

The hotel is very convenient for the city centre and has its own car park, which can be a little difficult to navigate due to the number and closeness of the pillars. Be aware that you will be required to leave your car keys at reception and if you forget them you will be charged for their return.Check in and out was easy and the breakfast was good. The front of the hotel looks out onto the the canal and harbour .

Wonderful place to stay! Amazing breakfast, fantastic staff (free doughnuts are a nice touch!). Everything is clean and newly renovated. As of June 2024, there was still some construction/renovation going on, but it did not impact my stay at all. Area around the property is great! Great for business or vacation! Laundry service was prompt and well-done. Staff speak great English, Dutch and German (and perhaps more). Snacks are available in the lobby throughout the day. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel.

Central hassle free stay

I recently visited Groningen to attend a wine festival and had the pleasure of staying at the Flonk Hotel. The hotel is situated in the heart of Groningen, within walking distance to the city's best shopping, restaurants, and attractions. Everything you need is literally steps away. The underground parking facility is a huge plus, making it easy to explore the city without worrying about your vehicle. The team at Flonk Hotel truly goes above and beyond. They're warm, welcoming, and happy to assist with any requests. My room was spotless, modern, and cozy, ensuring a great night's sleep.

Very convenient for centre of town, 10 minutes walk. Whilst the hotel does not have a restaurant there are numerous restaurants/ cafes within easy reach. Secure car parking available. Most things of interest are walkable and the bus service is very good.The staff were very helpful both before and during our visit. Breakfast range was good and good quality. I would have liked a fridge in the room as outside temperatures were mid twenties celsius. The hotel itself is probably some 50 years old but has been well maintained and updated. Hotel was fine and clean and the staff is nice, but they are not able to create a comfortabele temperature in the room. It was close to 30 degrees celcius because they didn't have sunscreens and no airconditioning. Only an old fan, which is not suitable for a large room.
