The room was clean , staff were friendly . Having breakfast was nice . The balcony and view were fantastic . Shower had good hot water . It would have been nice to have a fridge in the room . Found the room was hot and slept with windows half open all night . Overall yes we would stay there again .

Grindelwald is amazing village in the mountains. The hotel is very convenient for all dining options and access to the train station. The breakfast was a welcome addition. The management is attentive. We had the most amazing views of the Eiger. It does need some updating and could be outstanding.

Great location for spring/fall hiking. Although, wish they had a more hearty breakfast, which would include scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, etc. Great view with balcony room facing Eiger. Now that we are older and hiking is moving down the priority list, eating a wonderful meal in Grindelwald has become a greater priority (yes, we are foodies), and this location allows easy access to all restaurants in Grindelwald!

We stayed for a week in a 2nd floor room with a view of the Eiger, and we couldn't have been happier with the hotel. The staff who we got to know personally was exceptional. The manager Christoph helped us navigate the public transportation system and even gave us a scenic route to take to our next hotel in Lake Como when we were departing. Johnne and Patricia (who served us every morning at breakfast) were equally as kind and attentive. The hotel has no air conditioning, as is the case with many, but with the windows open in the evening it was comfortable, but I would not stay here in the middle of summer! Also, they have only a large duvet as a cover, again much like most hotels in Europe, so bring a light travel blanket if you like. The hotel is centrally located within Grindelwald, a very short walk to the local co-op and bus station. If you have a car, which we did, the hotel has approximately 6 spots available. I would definitely stay here again because of the view, the location and the extremely wonderful staff.

This was a FANTASTIC stay in Grindelwald, the location was perfect, the room was clean and spacious, great restaurants and bars around with good access to public transport. Parking and breakfast was a great added bonus! We paid extra for a Mountain View and it was well worth it. The staff were so so helpful, they gave us recommendations, were accommodating and friendly during breakfast, check-in and checkout. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone travelling to Grindelwald.

Magical Location in Gridelwald

An excellent spot for a visit to Grindelwald. The views were magical. The wonderful staff and prime location allowed us to explore the town and area with ease. A traditional breakfast was appreciated and the option to park was a bonus.

Get the balcony view! Such a breathtaking view. Staff was so nice and welcoming. Area is perfect: 5 minute walk to the train station, shops all around, supermarket 3 minute walk. Just absolutely perfect location.
