My wife and I always review the ratings for products and services in advance. I am writing this review in the hopes that someone else will benefit from our experience from our 4 day stay. This was our first trip to Lake Como, Italy and it was absolutely breathtaking! Didn't know what to expect in terms of the lodging but my wife and I were extremely impressed with the Hotel Riviera, the location was right on the lake and convenient to the ferry, bus stop and restaurants including the hotel dining room which offered a full menu and delicious food. For a very old hotel, it was well maintained, clean and the breakfast each morning was fresh and filling. The biggest thing that stood out during our stay and probably the most important to us was the personal experience & care we received by the owner Andrew. He went out of his way to ensure that our room was comfortable and even assisted in carrying the luggage. There is no doubt in our mind that we will stay at this hotel again when we go to Como in the future, it delivered everything we were hoping, service, comfort, outstanding views from our window and even the sound of the waves hitting the shoreline!!

The owner of the hotel greeted us kindly. We had a fantastic room with a view of the lake. The staff was very friendly. Very authentic old world lake Como hotel experience. Breakfast was excellent. We also had dinner which we loved. I highly recommend this hotel and the staff.
