We were greeted promptly and courteously. Our reservation was in place as we expected. That part was fine. But our room was simply unacceptable. There was an odor in the hallways that smelled stale. Unpleasant. But finding food (crushed poptarts and raw pasta) in the drawers was gross. But even worse was when we found food crumbs in the bed. The room was in need of a big upgrade. Quite frankly, we will not be back when we are in the area again.

Bedding and towels were stained, had holes and worn out. Two years ago I was at a motel that I thought was bad, but Greenville Inn takes the crown for being the most rundown and dilapidated hotel.

You pay for what you get. The rate was very reasonable. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. In its heyday, I cannot imagine how beautiful the Greeneville Inn was. Today it needs a lot of work. Bathroom door was falling apart and repaired with screws, lots of building noise (heater, other residents water running, noisy hallway). Cleanliness was poor. Bed was comfortable.

Secure the building. Main door wide open. Out of order. Anyone could walk inside. Wind just blows in. Poorly lit. People loitering. Didn’t feel inviting or comfortable. Rooms had a dirty person and cigarette smell. Beds felt cheap, springy and squeaky. Pillows were tiny and felt like hard clumps of matted old material inside. Pictures are deceiving. But, all other hotels in this area are even worse. They appear to be drug ridden with locals living full time in them.

AC unit had black mold in it , room 215. I am currently coughing up mucus and feel as tho I may in the next few days be sick. Will not be returning. If you are looking to stay here, MAKE THEM CLEAN OR REPLACE THE AC UNIT!!! The one in the room I stayed in previously was a lot newer (room 219)

Hotel had its plus and negatives. Walked into lobby area on a rainy day and noticed buckets all over the place collecting the rain water from the ceiling. We check in and head to our room through a hallway the reeks of cigarettes and freshly microwaved shrimp. We finally made it to our room and found it was actually pretty clean and looked like it had been updated recently. The next day we went to go through the forsaken shrimp hallway to my dismay there were 3 people smoking cigarettes in the hallway inside. ( I found where the cigarette smell was coming from). I said something to the front desk associate who really didn’t seem to care at all. Overall not the best not the worst, could have been a solid 3 starts besides the smoking indoors. My wife is pregnant and who wants to be around that.

Room was comfortable and affordable. They are in the process of remodeling so there were a couple of very small things that we noticed. Staff was extremely kind and helpful. Will definitely be staying here again.

Stay was good and convenient to the local college we were visiting.Very reasonably priced hotel for the area. Heater did not work and it could not be fixed on the first night and they offered to move us but we didn't want to move; it was tolerable and they did bring us extra blankets. And, on the next day maintenance came in the morning and changed out the whole HVAC unit for us for the second night. We asked for extra towels but could not get even one extra towel.
