Green Turtle Luxury not so much for fishing

We stayed for four nights. The room needed better lighting. We kept our boat at the marina. It was a bit inconvenient because the room was not that close to the docks. Going from the boat to the room you either had to walk thru the dinning area or walk down some steps to the beach to get to the room. Carrying fishing and boating supplies thru the sand to and from the room was difficult and many times we ended up walking thru the dinning area. You can tell the staff was not too happy about that. The atmosphere is beautiful and the grounds were well kept. We felt it was a bit too fancy for a fishing & diving excursion.

The resort is located in a very pretty island but sadly they can’t provide with the amenities and service that is required of a resort charging the rate for a luxury resort. I stayed here for my honeymoon and their WiFi never worked. The coffee maker and other equipment in the room are just for decoration so don’t expect them to work. The hair dryer didn’t work. The TV had parental lock password. The staff had no clue about how to help us with these matters and acted surprised when we were asking for help as if it is not their job and we were asking for too much. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you are expecting standard services.

Anlage und Green Turtle Cay sind sehr schön, ruhig, Karibik-Feeling. Die Hauptinsel Abaco ist leider vom letzten Wirbelsturm ziemlich mitgenommen.

The property and room were clean but both headboards in our room were broken and not attached to the beds so when we moved at night they would bang against the wall. I told the front desk the next morning and the girl said someone would fix them that day. The cleaning staff came later and said no one was there to fix them and they were aware of the broken headboards but couldn’t fix them. Huh? There was also a substance in the tub that didn’t look healthy so I tried to clean it myself. The cleaning staff said it was glue and they couldn’t clean it either. Again, huh? What about a putty knife? We wanted to try the resort restaurant on our last evening there since we heard the lobster ravioli was so good. We live in Naples, Florida where dining out isn’t cheap but this was ridiculous. No bread was served, no salad with your $32 meal. We received 4 ravioli and a bill for $140 for three meals (one was tacos). Their mandatory 15% gratuity which consisted of the waitress brining us one plate of food, and a VAT tax by the government really pushed up the bill. We always tip 18% at least but this whole meal was ridiculously expensive. My son commented on how he was still hungry. I had to agree. We left the resort and went to town to find something else to eat. I’ve never had such a crazy experience in any restaurant.

New England style property in comfortable location

The hotel is very comfortable and clean and maintained pretty well with lots of character. The staff is friendly and there are options for those that love the beach or boating and a great option to relax as well. The small town nearby is very quaint. A good option for us was staying at the property for a short period of time. There are food options at the hotel and in the nearby town.

The remoteness of the island and property was so relaxing. The customer service was amazing. I highly recommend this property for anyone seeking a plce to unwind and unplug!

Beautiful Area, Friendly Staff

The grounds are beautiful. The staff was always helpful and friendly. The food and drink were delicious. The only negative was roosters crowing BEFORE dawn daily. There is a place to feed the turtles around the corner at Coco Bay. I would have preferred to have a two bedroom. One room was tough with two teenagers. I did not realize you could book a different room. I would certainly return.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. Food at the resort was excellent and very fresh. Location was beautiful and the atmosphere very laid back and relaxing. Perfect place to chill out, while being comfortable.

Awesome Trip to GTC!!!

Stayed in GTC the last 6 days and had an amazing time! Rented golf cart and boat with ease. Visited New Plymouth several times over the trip and a must is Miss Emily's for the Goombay Smash and Pineapples Restaurant for the food and the view and of course Caroline (the dog..so cute!!!) Overall would definitely recommend for relaxing and fun!

You'LL need a goal cart for sure

First night bed felt comfortable, second night it killed my back. Appears there is a 5 inch foam on top of regular mattress. Found human hair in the Styrofoam coffee cups in room, probably NOT a good idea to have blower dryer within 2 feet of coffeemaker. Lobby Staff not overly friendly. Housekeeping staff were very nice, and helpful, as were the outside ground keeping staff, and transport people. Ate dinner in club first night, seated in terrible table in the wind outside, and needed to be moved. Altho' the fish and chips dinner was delicious! Linen in room very pretty, and room appears newly renovated, painted.

great place to stay

The rooms are nicer than the picture shows and very clean . Staff are friendly and are helpful , as is everyone in Green turtle cay. great place to visit. my husband and I have been their before, it is a bit of an adventure to get to the island by land. planes taxies and a ferry, but well worth it !

Great pool

We arrived early and we were still met from the water taxi. We had our golf cart within 5 minutes of our arrival and everything was made very easy for us. There is lots of sealife just off the dock and we walked along it everyday. Its a relax area and the children were made very welcome.

Excellent.

Best rooms I've seen in a hotel in a long while. Very comfortable, clean, quiet. Only complaint is that they may need to upgrade their tv channel package. Other than that, I'll definitely go back.

Turtle anniversary

GTC is everything you want for a Bahamas vacation. Beautiful place, scenery and a staff of wonderful people. Food at GTC was outstanding in restaurant overlooking the marina. They will even prepare a picnic lunch for you. Town, beautiful beaches and diving are near by boat. How could you ask for anything more?
