This was the loveliest place we stayed. It's rural and the views are amazing. It is simple, quiet and relaxing and the staff are amazing and really made our stay special. They have a small menu for guests and the food is EXCELLENT! We will stay here again even longer next time we are in Crete.

Très bel endroit plein de charme au calme
Situé à une quinzaine de minutes de l'aéroport, nous avons passé notre première nuit en Crète dans cet endroit dépaysant, en plein coeur des vignes et oliviers. Veille bâtisse rénovée avec beaucoup de charme. Accueil très sympathique et bon petit déjeuner. Nous étions un couple avec 2 jeunes enfants. Le deuxième lit simple est un peu moins confortable que l'autre, conviendrait moins pour un adulte.

Quiet setting outside Skalani
Three large, modern, comfortable residences located adjacent to (but not owned by) the Boutari winery tasting room. Plan on waking about 100 m from the winery parking lot. Beautiful view. Quiet setting, not like the craziness of Heraklion nearby. Breakfast served on the patio outside the apartment.

Enchanting
Fantastic visit to Scalani Hills. Perfect location to explore the region and nice breakfast. Short drives to fantastic restaurants. Loved the patio.

Très bien, bel environnement
Bonne expérience, beau cadre. Grande chambre. La jeune femme du petit déjeuner et qui nous a reçu très sympathique et attachante. En revanche, depuis la route l’hôtel n’est pas bien indiqué.

Magnifique endroit, accueil très sympatique. La résidence est très bien située pour se rendre à l'aéroport. Nous avons pu visiter les chais avec un homme qui a réussi à transmettre l'amour de son métier malgré la barrière de la langue, merci à Nikolos. Juste un bémol à cet endroit magnifique, il me semble qu'un léger manque d'organisation pour le petit déjeuner est à régler. En effet, je n'avais à faire que 3 petits-déjeuners sur place et seul un a été complet.

Absolute Idylle, nur wenige Kilometer von Heraklion entfernt. Unbedingt den Wein da probieren. Freundlicher Service, originelles Zimmer, besser geht es kaum.

We had an amazing 2-night stay. The location, surrounded by vineyards and orchards, is wonderful. The breakfasts were delicious and were served on our private terrace overlooking the countryside. It is a very short drive from Knossos, and easily accessible from Heraklion, although a car is advisable.

First of all I want to state that we travelled post COVID and we were probably one of the first to arrive. In general the hard product is nice. Only three rooms, situated only 15 min from Heraklion on top of a wine mountain. However, the room/suite we booked, was rather dirty. Especially the bathrooms were both dirty and a little smelly as well (property is partly in the mountain which generated an old basement kind of smell). For that reason I would recommend a deep clean. Maybe just hire a company that cleans the rooms thoroughly after standing empty for the COVID months. After that, I imagine the property being quite special. At the moment it’s rather disappointing, since the outside is very nice and promises a better experience than you’ll get to experience inside due to the dirt. Positive: Nice Breakfast on the terrace Nice & helpful staff Negative: Dirty bathrooms & old basement scent (If applicable: you for sure need a car)

This is a really beautiful boutique property, just a short drive into the hills from Heraklion. The welcome was well organised and so friendly. The breakfast was AMAZING. The setting is so pretty. It is just a short drive to Knossos Palace. The suite was very spacious and beautifully appointed. There was a good amount of space for the three of us.

Nous sommes restés dans la plus petite chambre des trois afin d'avoir un balcon plus prive. La vue est magnifique ! Le personnel et le service est impeccable ! Les déjeuner sont servis le matin dehors et ils sont succulent. Nous avons pris un cours de cuisine avec la chef Maria c'était super! Nous sommes parties reposer et tristes ! On recommande sans aucun doute

Beautifully appointed rooms located right on the vineyard. Fantastic shower and large living space plus outdoor seating for a great view of the vineyard during the excellent breakfast they serve. What really made the stay memorable was the hostess Chrisi's hospitality. She was delight and so helpful when we had any questions or needed anything. Thanks Chrisi! Would definitely stay there again. Also the wine is very good, worth picking up a bottle!

Nous avons passé 2 nuits au Scalani Hills hôtel: endroit charmant, dans une vieille bâtisse aménagée avec beaucoup de charme. Accueil parfait, avec en cadeau une bouteille de vin du vignoble et des hôtes à notre disposition pour nous conseiller. Petit déjeuner servi sur la terrasse de la chambre, délicieux, à l’heure choisie. Environment calme et très reposant, loin de l’agitation et du bruit d’Heraklion.

A beautiful location in a vineyard in a renovated farm house. Peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed a lovey breakfast on the veranda surrounded by grape clusters and in the shade of a fig tree.

Beautiful, relaxing location
Beautiful, relaxing location. It's quite remote, but we managed without a car. It's not far from Knossos. Liatiko room has its own private terrace, with a fantastic view.

The property is quiet and the views are amazing! The location is great bc it is close to Knossos and middle of wine country. It is next to the Winery which we were able to have a wine tasting and cooking class. Breakfast is served outside and really great! The staff for both winery and property is so friendly and helped us get taxis bc we didn’t have a car. High recommend!

Scalini Hills is an absolutely beautiful property!! Everything about our stay was lovely!! Breakfast was delicious and was served on our terrace overlooking the vineyards. Try some of their wines, Boutari, as they are very good!!

We had a wonderful time. George greeted us and settled us into our room, we had a lovely wine tasting and George gave us some history of the winery and advised a local restaurant where we could have dinner. It was very nice. Great quiet location.

The winery and room is first class. Beautiful and romantic setting surrounded by the vineyard and fig, lemon, lime and pomegranate trees. The outside the room breakfast area is under grape overhang. We had romantic private dinner cooked by grandma Maria. She does not speak English but very kind and warm.
