I booked a Deluxe Room with a balcony and city view, but ended up on the lowest floor with a large tree directly in front—completely blocking the view. Definitely disappointing, especially considering the higher price for the “view.” Be careful when booking this room type—what you get might not match the description.

Great spot! So much to see around the area. Parking was a bit tricky, go to the Themes Parking which is roughly 800 feet from the hotel. It’s 15 euros for the whole day but conveniently located. The area around the hotel was amazing! So much to explore. Breakfast in the morning was top notch! Felt very taken care of!

I liked the location in the old town of Heraklion. It is outside the normal tourist areas so you have a nice 20 minute walk to the water. The breakfast is amazing with 2-3 trays of food that is hard to finish as 2 people. If you can, get a package that includes it.

This is a modest hotel in a great location. Directly on the square of St. Minas church, it is in a lively part of the city center. The rooms are adequately sound proofed, so very little noise enters the room. Most attractions are less than a twenty minute walk away. Tavernas and shops are all around. Five minutes away is the even more active Lion Square and city center.

Suite vue sur mer conforme aux photos de presentation sur le site hôtels.com. Vaste terrasse avec jacuzzi au 5eme etage, vue ville et mer. Attention, c'est une chambre 2 personnes, le 3eme couchage n'étant qu'une banquette dépliable. Parking avec voiturier à 200m, 15€/jour. Eglise avec cloche horaire à 50m. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Metropole Urban. The hotel is extremely clean and comfortable and the staff always friendly and helpful. The location is excellent – from right outside to at most a 10-minute walk, you can find countless great restaurants and plentiful shopping in the old town, not to mention the beautiful church adjacent the hotel on the square. It’s only a 10 to 12-minute walk to the Heraklion Archeology Museum and just a bit father to stroll to the port. The generous breakfast was a delight and a great way to kick off the day. We would certainly book the Metropole again for a return stay.
