"Don't judge the book by the cover: the Brickyard is older, a throw-back to the old motels where you would park outside your room, and the parking area is in need of some work, but for a budget level accommodation, my room was clean and comfy and thoughtfully laid out. The bed was comfortable, it was pretty quiet, and everything worked in the room, including the full-size refrigerator. The Perrys, who run the place, are good, down-home people who also provide a ministry to families of inmates, since the State Penitentiary is located in Rawlins. The Brickyard is not trying to be something it is not: it is an aging, authentic economy motel with a big heart."

"Plenty of towels nice big room. The lady that checked me in was very friendly big smile very energetic and seem very happy with her job. Hotel is conveniently located next to a gas station a couple fast food restaurants among other places need on a road trip. Conveniently located next to the highway on the way to Yellowstone or heading down the I-80. The lady that was maintaining the breakfast area was very friendly very helpful went above and beyond. Thank you all so much."

"Room was very clean and comfortable. Good shower and A/C. Coffee in the lobby. Nice mini-fridge with freezer. Great selection of western art throughout the hotel. We would stay here again. I didn't see an ice machine so I don't know if that is available. No breakfast."
