The people who own the hotel were the perfect guest there was a gas station in a bar and restaurant across the street and the company was great. There was free wood for a fire at night and a free coffee bar.
Our room was spotless, with comfortable beds. This property has a country store and tavern (with great fried perch!!) within walking distance. It doesnt get quieter than it is here. One of the top dry fly fishing rivers in the world is withing walking distance and the fishing truly is world class.
Staff is very friendly. Easy to get to and if you’re in Lovells I recommend staying here! Beds are comfy. Bonus content: there’s a fan in the room!

Liked: Cleanliness
I thought the properly was on the riverside or in view. It wasn't. It was a one floor xoncrete structure with 6 doors outside in a parking lot behind the old building shown. It was modern, clean. No temperature control in room, we were freezing. Also no phone service to call number on door to be let inside.
wonderful, charming location and the owner, Bill, was fantastic. Talked with Jim on arrival and he told me the interesting history of the Inn and the surrounding area. Highly recommend!
The owners live two doors down and greeted us at our room two minutes after we called. They provided dining recommendations at a town 12 miles away as nothing was open in town. Motel itself was roomy, comfortable, and clean.
Easy to reserve, owner answered second ring, arranged for late arrival so didn't have to leave meeting, tavern and small grocery/fuel next door. Room was large, beds were perfect, shower was hot. Fridge and microwave in room. Ideal for short or long term.
When we tried to check into the room I had questions and the owner would not answer any questions and simply said "do you want to check in or not?" I chatted with hotels.com who tried to resolve the issue, I then got a phone call from the owner stating that he would not allow us to check in and he would not refund our money!! The restaurant across the road stated that the owner was banned from there and they hear a lot of these same stories and that no one has ever stayed there! Zero stars to this place - do not recommend!!!! We had to book at a different place for the night!

Disliked: Staff & service
I never checked in. The road had construction i couldn't get down. They basically stoled my money by not telling me there was construction and rudely refusing to refund when they were notified of this.
IT WAS ONE OF THE WORST EXPERIENCES I CAKE ACROSS.
THERE WAS NO ONE IN THE HOTEL, NO STAFF. NO ONE RECIEVED US.
WE WAITED FOR AN HOUR, KEPT KNOCKING ON THE OFFICE DOOR AND THEN FINALLY LEFT SONCE NO ONE CAME.
WHEN I CALLED FOR A REFUND, THE OWNER WAS A "RACIST".
HE WAS RUDE AND DID NOT GIVE US A REFUND. TO WHICH, WHEN I APPROACHED EXPEDIA, it was not their policy to refund someonw if the hotel does not refund.
So here I am, ruined my vacation, wasted my $100 and faced Racism
It was clean and kept up. Room was not in the building pictured but one behind it, also behind a gas station. Easy to find and some groceries at the gas station were convenient and a bar across street for a meal.
Beds are very high off ground not recommended for kids and TV in awkward place, couldn’t watch from bed. Quiet considering it sits at a main crossroads. Plenty of parking for my 14 ft fishing boat.
Owners were great. Friendly and knowledgeable about stuff to do in the area. Little quaint town was refreshing in a small town friendly vibe. Definitely go back there again.

NO-STAY STAY
We arrived at 5:30. The doors were locked, the lights were out, there were no cars around. We looked all around and then left. We had to find another motel late in the
day. My payment was nonrefundable. We will try not
to stay at a "nonrefundable" place again.
The owner, Bill, and his wife went way above and beyond their duties to help us out in a pinch. We actually broke down 18 minutes from there. They came out to get us and our stuff after hours and gave us a ride back to the motel. The next day, Bill even gave us a ride to the next town up where our car was going to be worked on. We don’t know what we would have done without their help!
The motel is definitely “no-frills,” but if you like to fly fish, as my husband does, you will be very happy there with the river so close by. The friendliness of the people easily makes up for the rustic nature of the accommodations!
