Our cottage was well equipped, clean, and the newer appliances had a retro look. The property was very quiet and restful. We would definitely stay here again.

The outside appearance is similar to an old school motel, but interior of our king bed room was super clean, well designed, and comfortably furnished along with updated bath and small kitchenette. All for a very affordable rate.

This was a very charming peaceful and friendly inn. The rooms were delightful and well-equipped. Each room has a kitchenette with all the necessary accessories. Location is pet friendly. There is a large side lawn for the dogs to roam and it has chairs for people to sit in a barbecue there is also an outside patio area for coffee or drinks. I highly recommend this location

We were only going to stay the night and explore the area, but enjoyed the Inn so much we extended our stay. The Inn has a wonderful community grass area with music and chairs that the dogs and I spent time getting to know our neighbors and learning about them. The studios had a kitchenette so we weren't limited to eating out every night. A gem was found in Grass Valley that we plan on visiting again.

Staying at the Pines Inn, made my visit to GV/NC so lovely and comfortable. I loved the art and design touches in the cottage, soft outdoor music in the garden ~ Welcoming hospitality and a sense of privacy.

The host was very accommodating. The property sets close to Rough & Ready hwy- especially cottage #10, which backs up within feet of the hwy. Bring an extra blanket if weather is on the cool side.

I would definitely stay here again and hopefully longer than one night so we could enjoy it more. Everything is so well thought out and homey. It was very quiet too. My only recommendation is to add some extra blankets. The heater worked well, but one of us was too hot and the other too cold, so an extra blanket would have saved an argument!
