Pros: stunning sunrise view over Lake Superior, premium location of lake view rooms; Everything is within perfect walking distance just out the door!; full kitchen and comfortable living room furniture and patio seating. Cons: Expedia was very expensive, pricing might have been better direct booking; very hard bed- sunrise thru the windows made up for it, but for pricing I expected much more comfortable bed!; no private pw for internet opening up big risk to people staying there. I wasn’t able to use my computer for this reason. Overall though, I definitely will stay here again because of the lake view and location! It was magical!

Im posting this review in part because I’m disappointed with Expedia. And posted a negative review to East Bay Suites by accident. Because my reservation at Black Sand Beach Hotel was a disaster! I stayed at East Bay Suites last week and the week before and service was first class! Great location! Beautiful views! And fair price for the time of year. I felt at home! A real hiker paradise! Tried to find something in Silver Bay with Expedia and showed up to nothing but a “You do not have a room” In the middle of the night on foot! I’m probably just and idiot for using Expedia
