Very welcoming, helpful owners. Property is quite dated but very comfortable and breakfast excellent. The drive to park car on is very steep. My small car struggled to back out of it...something to consider. Ideal base for Addo Elephant park which owners provided much information on.

I was deeply touched by the host's hospitality. He was offering the ride to the bus stop early in the morning, and even packed me a bag of food on the road, though I had a simple breakfast already. Thanks for everything during my stay.

the owners are friendly and helpful. It is located close to St George's Hospital and to the stadium so very convenient. The neighborhood is quiet and the view is delightful.

Teil der Großfamilie

Die Vermieter sind ein reizendes älteres Ehepaar, das mit Mutter und zwei erwachsenen Kindern, manchmal auch der Enkeltochter ihr Zuhause teilt. Das Zimmer war ordentlich und verfügte über ein eigenes Bad, allerdings war der gesamte Schrank mit (muffigen) Kleidern der Familie gefüllt, da es sich offensichtlich um ein ehemaliges Familienzimmer handelt, das zum Gästezimmer umgewidmet wurde. Fernseher, Kühlschrank und Wasserkocher stehen zur Verfügung und für eine Nacht fand ich es durchaus akzeptabel. Das Bett war bequem und das Bad hatte eine Badewanne mit integrierter Dusche. Großen Wert auf Äußerlichkeiten sollte man allerdings nicht legen, denn es ist ein wilder Stilmix und alles ziemlich vollgestopft. Das Frühstück findet an einem Tisch im Wohnzimmer statt, an dem auch die Familie isst. Es gibt Marmelade, Obst, Aufschnitt, auf Wunsch Omelette, Ei oder ähnliches. Während des Frühstücks läuft der Fernseher mit Nachrichten oder Sport. Wirklich toll war, dass John, der Hausvater mich abends zu einem Restaurant in der Nähe fuhr und sogar zum Flughafen brachte. Madeleine, die Hausmutter, kochte mir einen Ingwertee, da mein Magen nicht in Ordnung war.
