Great hotel just on the edge of the historic centre of Gothenburg. Hotel felt upmarket, rooms were great, beds comfy, was a short walk from the bus station so handy for getting to and from the airport, and whilst not quite as central as other hotels, it was only a 5 minute walk to lots of restaurants and shops and the old town and the price was very reasonable. Breakfast was fantastic - amazing selection

This is a massive hotel and extremely busy with events but none of this effects your stay, the rooms are very quiet and soundproofed, the area around the hotel is undergoing a lot of renovation but again this didnt effect my stay, food and shopping a 5-10 minute walk away and the hotel is very central for tourism easy to walk to sites or to catch public transport, i would highly reccomend.

Breakfast is not automatically included. In Sweden? I am traveling in Sweden about 150 nights a year. Breakfast is always included, unless you book this hotel, or another Scandic hotel. Room is fine, has no character.

Find an alternative hotel

The hotel is conveniently located right in the middle of a giant construction site, so arriving by car feels a bit like competing in The Amazing Race. Finding the entrance? Good luck. Strolling around Gothenburg? Only if you enjoy guessing which detour sign is actually correct. Check-in was a real “treat”. Since I had parked in the short-term lot, my wife went in to handle it, but knowing my name wasn’t nearly enough. No, we needed the magical reservation number. Cue a delightful round of text-tag: “Check your email.” “No, not that one.” “Try the app.” And finally—victory! The sacred digits were found. Oh, and the garage? Sure, you can use it… for 50 bucks a day. Because why not. The room itself? Sleek and modern. So modern, in fact, that they’ve completely reimagined the basics. Complimentary coffee, tea, or even water? Nope. A minibar for when you get hungry? Forget it. It’s as if the hotel decided the best guest experience is removing everything people actually like about hotels.

The property is new and modern with air conditioning. Breakfast and hotel food options were good. Service and cleaning was minimal or non-existent. I was told at check in that light housekeeping would take place daily and if I needed a deeper clean for a longer stay, I could book that through a QR code, which I did on day 6 of a 9 day stay because nothing was getting touched in our room. I came back to fresh beds and one garbaged cleaned however the floors weren't swept, the toilet paper and supplies weren't refilled and we had no fresh towels. I had to ask at the front counter twice for toilet paper, towels, and soap however the bathroom garbage was never changed in the 10 days I stayed there with my kids. When I asked about the dirty towels, I was told I had to bring them to the hotel lobby. The location is not very walkable as it's between a large bridge and the train station, in the middle of major construction. Next time I will look for something with a little more character and better service reviews.

Really good central hotel in Gothenburg. 5 minute walk from train/bus station, about 10 mins to city centre. Modern, spacious clean hotel. Great breakfast options, good dining and bar facilities. Would have gave it 5 stars but for dreadful quality of Wi-Fi in the hotel, ended up just using data all the time

Wonderful hotel. Super close to the central train station. Very accessible for wheelchairs. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Rooftop bar and restaurant are stunning, especially at sunset. Highly recommend.
