They do allow pets but they do charge about half the price of your stay on top of what you paid as a pet fee. The staff is really rude the food is not good and if you stay for an extended time they still don't offer clean towels or room cleaning so be prepared to buy your own cleaning supplies and do your own laundry. The location is pretty nice though.

As on many previous occasions, we’d like to highlight the hotel’s charming atmosphere and fantastic location – it really is something special! A bit of a shame about the breakfast this time, though. You get the bare essentials, but it would be much appreciated if, in the future, the scrambled eggs could actually taste like eggs.

This is a sad example of someone buying a nice property and then run it into the ground. Wonderful location but zero maintenance. I hope someone will rescue this hotel

Sheep old hotel width low service

The hotel was in low condition. Room was very small and old. Very little breakfast and the service in the reception said when we asked things i am tired can´t help you right now.

This staty was like boarding a time machine - to the 50:s. A very small room. (Probably an old single-bed room temporarily converted to a double-bed room). The only modern stuff was the flat-TV, electronic door lock, thermostat shower valve and fire alarm. The toilet was the smallest I've seen, max 4 m2 meter. Not to mention the breakfast; the poorest ever experienced, in a Swedish hotel, that otherwise normally have the most comprehensive breakfast repertoire. But this; dry bread of one kind, not much to put on the bread, not the typical Swedish sour milk, cold eggs.

Worst hotel in Sweden

Our room was horrible. It was filthy, with visible dirt on almost every surface. The beds were miserable and small with flat pillows. It smelled strongly of musty sour mold. The bathroom was full of mold and dirt and we found silverfish living in there, too. The rest of the hotel was like this too. Dark, dirty, sour smelling. The breakfast was stale and cold and poor quality. It was like they'd just set out yesterday's uneaten breakfast. The coffee was undrinkable––watery and very bitter. They host loud parties in the restaurant area and don't clean up until the morning, so we ate breakfast with the rave lights still on in morning. What put us off the most was how we were treated by the staff. Reception was seemingly never open, with a cage pulled down over it our entire stay. There was a woman working there who treated us poorly on the handful of times we talked to her. I asked her for extra pillows and she flat-out said "no" citing that I "already have two" and then that there is a "pillow shortage." A pillow shortage? At a hotel? And then at checkout, nobody could find her. Reception was gated shut. Everyone just slid their key cards under the cage pulled over the reception desk. Probably the worst hotel I've stayed at in Sweden. We came to visit my mom, who grew up here. Apparently Fars Hatt was very fancy in the 60s through the 80s. Not anymore, it seems. Camping outside in a tent or staying in a hostel next to a snoring old man would have been a nicer experience.
