On a Monday, Howden is closed so any accom is struggling. On a Tue it’s a lovely market town and this offers good value basic accomodation - with a good local pint
Clean and comfortable, good value, pleasent Staff.

I was greeted very politely by a very busy member of staff. Service was a little slow but only because it is clearer a popular venue for locals as well as travellers. My room 14 was very comfortable and clean. There is a damp patch on the ceiling outside the ensuite door.
Unfortunately i did not see any staff to show them as i left.
A very convenient place to stay right in the centre of the lovely market town.

Nikita was a very good host. Great full English and free parking.
We booked this property late on Saturday evening as we had a late confirmation on a job to go to locally, we didn`t get confirmation of the job till just before 7pm and then had to drive from Kidderminster, the receptionist stayed on an extra hour to greet us and check us in, absolutely fantastic service.
I have had a very comfortable stay I had a positive first impression
The room was small however it was clean and warm and the bed very comfortable
I would recommend this to others as a nice place with friendly staff to stay
Good value for money

A town centre pub! Comfortable bed, one or two issues which were resolved straight away.
Lovely breakfast. Plenty of parking. Great being in the centre of town.

Thi was ok for a last minute 1 night stay.
There was no food available in the bar and the room was basic.
Having said that, the staff were friendly and it was cheap.
Wellington Hotel had its own car park which was good
Room was ok.Not enough sockets in the room.Bed i think was small double but was comfortable. They had finished serving food when we got there but local chippie was very tasty
Staff were very friendly and the full english breakfast was very good
Room 11. Radiators in bathroom & bedroom did not work. Electric portable heater was in the bedroom to compensate for this, but was noisy & inefficient (soon lost heat once turned off). Hot water lasted only one shower. As the second in, I was left rinsing off in very cold water. The view from the net curtain room was a full blockade of roof tiles. There are no breakfast facilities at this venue. There is free parking at this venue. £90 is way too expensive!!
Room was very clean and cosy, the staff were super friendly and the breakfast was lovely!

Property fine for overnight stay. Bed was small and floor on a slant. Had to move pillows to opposite end. Clean with small menu but overall was good for what we needed.

Far to expensive for a single
Room was ok, but for the price I thought it was very basic as I had a single room and I have never slept in a single bed for 30+ years

Average
A bit average not the cleanest and shower was broken.
First time staying at the hotel and unfortunatley will be the last .
The welcome wasn't very courtious, the room was absoluty teribble from the decoration condition of the plunmbing in the bathroom , had to plug kettle in on the floor, long hairs in the bed ( not mine wrong length and colour)
very over priced for the room.

terrible - I should get a refund for this
I stay in hotels every week with work so rarely leave a review. Unless really good/bad. this was terrible.
i emailed about dinner reservation, with no reply. turned up to find they had stopped serving food at 6pm because of a pub quiz, so had to find elsewhere to eat. previous reviews had said the breakfast was lovely here, i was told upon arrival they stopped doing breakfasts 6 months ago. and also was told they did not reply to my email as the wifi had been down for over a week, so i could not use any internet, and yet they had previously emailed me to tell me there was a pub quiz on ??
i also paid extra for ' A delux room' This was far from delux, in fact basic would have been a better desription.
Paid for a room with no food, breakfast or internet.
Really really poor from the owner.
Warm welcome from the owner who looked after me. Three points to be aware of. No lift. Chef has Tuesday off. Showers not baths - which suited me. Couple of minor not-clean points. Owner cooked me poached eggs which came out well. Thank you.
One improvement I did not mention to him. There are no bed side lights. Sufficient light came from hall under the door for me to see at night. But if that light was out would make the room difficult to navigate at night. Altogether I would stay again.
