Nice place

Nice place. Love staying at Springhill Suites when possible because their rooms and bathrooms are spacious. Free parking. Plenty of restaurants close by. We walked across the street and ate at a good Mexican restaurant.

Staff were very courteous and helpful. However, my room was kinda dirty. Carpet was very much in need of vacuuming. The drinking glasses were both dirty/dusty despite being covered in plastic (to signify they are clean). Ice bucket was dirty/dusty inside. Had to wipe desk with a washcloth because it was sticky. There was a long, dark hair on the sheets when I pulled the comforter back to get in bed. I can understand each of these things individually (except for the lack of vacuuming), but combined it shows a general lack of proper and thorough cleaning.

Solid hotel, room was clean, breakfast was nice, and was consistent with all Spring Hills. Gonzales is a nice little town, has a little bit of everything and perfectly positioned.

This was one of the nicer hotels I’ve stayed in in a while. I think I’m done trying the trendy “boutique” places. This was much cleaner, larger, and enjoyable with great bar service and free breakfast that was actually hot. Will stay again!
