"Property is closest to Garda town which is approx 2 miles away down winding roads with few pavements. We did walk back once but it’s a really steep incline and not recommended in peak heat or given vehicles using the road. We got around the lake by walking down, returning by taxi (€25 per trip), so bear this in mind if you do not hire a car. The apartments are not served by buses but getting around the lake is possible using buses (and boats obviously). We had a superior apartment which was very clean but lacking any Italianate features. The balcony was shared with other guests. The position of the restaurant and pool overlooking the south east part of the lake is fantastic. Breakfast is continental, self-serve. We found the reception staff very helpful and friendly (big thank you to Gaia) but did not receive this from most of the restaurant staff. One of the waiters in particular was quite rude and abrupt notably when we did decide to dine in for dinner. The food we ordered (beef ravioli) was not great; 5 or 6 small pieces about the size of a Thornton’s chocolate with some beef reduction in the middle (€21), so we decided to eat in a few of the many good quality restaurants dotted around the lake itself for the remainder of our stay. Breakfast waiting staff were not the friendliest but that was just the experience of my wife & I. Getting to and from airport costed us €80 arriving (1 hr journey) and €110 departing (1/2 hr journey)!"

"We stayed in the “Trilo Top” apartment which sleeps up to 6 (2 bedrooms and a double sofa bed). The apartments have fridge (and small freezer), hob, microwave (that is also an oven too), dishwasher etc. They are very modern and clean! There is a welcome pack with a bottle of water, coffee pods, small washing up liquid, cloth, sponge and tea towel too. It has (covered) parking and an unheated (which we loved in last weeks heat!) pool. There is also a gym and launderette. It was a 10-12 minute walk for us with two boys (8 and 11) down to Garda town. We normally stay in villas, but this worked perfectly for us for a week. I was also worried as their check in times were 4pm-7pm and our flight didn’t land into Milan until 9.40pm so wouldn’t arrive until around 1am. I emailed them before booking and they said call up the day before and they will sort it out. True to their word, I called up and they WhatsApp’d me a link to check in and arranged for the keys and a map to be available when we arrived at 1am (it was stress free!). Would highly recommend looking at them if you’re trying to find a base."

"We cannot recommend this exceptional Lake Garda hotel/spa highly enough. The location, layout and facilities are all well worthy of its 5 Star billing. However, what made our stay so special was the attentiveness and the friendliness of each member of staff who looked after us throughout; in short, the epitome of “service with a smile”! Furthermore, we would like to compliment the kitchen. The breakfast service was of a uniformly first rate standard with “daily specials” to avoid repetition. This was complemented by an exceptional 4-course dining experience in the evening where again, as at breakfast, there were a range of choices which changed daily, supported by a very strong choice à la carte. The Italian-led wine list was also comprehensive and will not disappoint!"

"Had a great time and was perfect for a base for a week away. Apartment was modern and clean. Bedding was provided and towel hire was easy. The aircon unit didn't work but it was quite cool in there anyway. Shower did take a while to drain so could build up water during a shower. There was a bit of noise a few nights due to inconsiderate guests but would not fault the hotel for that. The hotel is on the same location as Hotel Marco Polo so you check in there. Market was disappointing. Empty shelves and had no milk over the weekend so had to walk 20 mins to Garda for basics. Pool area by the Pizzaria was the best pool. Water is cold but the area is nice and clean. Pizza restaurant was amazing and went a few nights during our stay. "
