This was a stopover hotel for us and for what it was, and for the money, we were pleased.
The room, while it showed its age in a couple of places, was extremely clean (spotless vinyl floors - unheard of)!! Kudos to the cleaning staff for exceptional attention to the rooms. The beds were comfortable and towels, while not luxury, were soft and a good size.
The door let light in around it, and the blackout curtains could have been better, but that’s hard to fix, especially when doors open to the outside. If you need it dark, dark bring an eye mask.
The reason for 4 stars, despite the 5 star cleaning is… the breakfast was a bit disappointing. Make-your-own grits, microwaveable egg/sausage biscuits, a couple cold cereals, plain bagels. Maybe they offer more on the weekends, but on a Monday morning there wasn’t much to choose from and the quality of the options was merely passable. Don’t get me wrong: this makes good financial sense for the hotel and helps keep costs low. Just be aware: if you need a hearty breakfast, budget for going out.
