It’s a good stay but, like other reviewers note, the rooms aren’t very insulated from each other for sound. As a result it’s luck of the drawer on whether you have a peaceful stay or not. We could hear noise from other rooms clearly early in the evening but thankfully everyone respected the designated quiet hours. It wouldn’t put me off staying again but best to manage your expectations in this regard.

Beautiful Lobby- Lodge like :) Nice tea & coffee area. Easy parking , smaller hotel . Nice views. Only improvement would be that the walls are thin - heard our loud talking neighbors.

We were not prepared for the noisy AC units in the rooms. Each room as on as an add on. The original building is beautiful but was not designed from a heating/AC perspective properly.

I booked this lodge through Expedia after selecting the option to view pet-friendly properties. I’m not sure how this lodge appeared in the recommendations since it is not pet-friendly. In the check-in form provided by the lodge, I clearly mentioned we would be traveling with our puppy. However, upon arrival between 5–6 pm, there was no staff present, and we accessed the room using the key code sent by text. The next morning, I was told by the front desk that pets are not allowed and I would be charged for the damage deposit. I explained this was an honest mistake due to how the listing appeared on Expedia and that I had disclosed our pet in the check-in form. Unfortunately, the staff stated they don’t necessarily review the forms, which could have prevented this issue. I have been a dog owner for many years and have stayed at numerous hotels and lodges with my pets. I am familiar with how pet policies work and have never encountered a situation like this. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience, but I believe this misunderstanding was not due to any fault or oversight on my part, and I don’t feel it’s fair to be penalized for it. I will also raise this with Expedia to help avoid similar situations for others in the future.

This place is a dump. The rooms are tiny, the views are terrible (unless you only look out of the top 20% of the window), the hallways stink, the walls are thin, the ameneties are virtually non-existent. Having a log-cabin asthetic merely papers over the cracks of what should be a $100 motel, not a $300+ lodge. I will never stay at any Basecamp property again
