"We were given a room in the lower part which was pretty dark with two little windows, it was a bit gloomy. The bath saved the room, it’s the biggest bath we’ve ever used, was lovely at the end of the day. We ate in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner, food was very good and as were the staff. Pool was nice but certainly not a pool designed for doing actual swimming, you had to dodge round people to get across to swim on “length”
. Never got to try the hot tub due to the same people hogging it for the whole time we were there.
Overall a nice stay, would request not to be in the lower part if we came again as it was dark."
"I stayed for 3 nights while attending my sons university graduation. I loved the location of this property a quick walk away from Church of the Holyrood and Stirling Castle. The walk into the city center is 5 minutes downhill. The hotel is located in an old School house so I was fascinated by the building. There is no air conditioning in the rooms so it was a bit warm at nights but that was not unexpected. The meals in the restaurant were excellent."
"Not as nice as some other Mercure hotels I have stayed at. Bit disappointing that you had to pay to park there and the room seemed a bit on the small side."
"The Stirling Court hotel on the university of Stirling Campus was a quiet location. It was a good restaurant even if some of the staff seem rather brusque because we were late .
I had left without my phone to walk round the loch so was unable to call them. I apologies several times but the person didn't hear she had broken record syndrome and just kept saying you should have called if you were going to be late. I almost gave your table away.
I noted throughout the meal there were several empty tables so not clear who she was going to give the table to!!
Apart from the restaurant incident it was a pleasant stay."
"On arrival the reception staff were brilliant and friendly. Rooms were ready on arrival but cleanseness not up to standard
Dot from restaurant was amazing and remembered our table and our special event that was happening. She is a true gem. Hotel and surrounding areas were amazing, the views from our balcony were awesome, would definitely recommend our only real complaint is the lack of power points in our rooms and no directory or fire information some lights not working"
"Beautiful setting on loch side this hotel is in a suburb please ,the room was clean nice bathroom although very basic food was good but small menu . Very nice host very friendly lovely big Labrador.
Place is tired and could do with some TLC but worth a visit .
Dog friendly so nice to see this"
