We had a great time here. The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly and helpful and the location was fantastic. It’s on the high street so you couldn’t be closer to the town - I could see the Abbey and Tor from my window. It doesn’t really have parking but there is a council run car park directly opposite and we didn’t struggle to find a space on it.

Was very well maintained. Staff were friendly at all times. Breakfast was lovely and in a very nice space with a nice view of the high street outside. My only issue was that I needed the WiFi quite late when I got back but couldn’t find the code anywhere. The guide said speak to staff if you are having trouble but it was too late and seems bizarre anyway when just giving the code would suffice.

The location was absolutely brilliant as it's so central although be aware that this is a lively pub so if you want a quiet stay it's maybe not for you. I went with a friend and we loved every minute, so much so that we're going to make it a yearly visit. Our rooms were clean with very comfortable beds, the staff are, without exception, super friendly, as is the Manager. We can definitely recommend the breakfast as it's wonderful!

Everything was great, friendly staff and everything maintained to a high standard. The breakfast was great and in a lovely setting. The only issue I had was I couldn’t connect to the WIFI when I needed to as the code wasn’t in the visitor guide. It simply said speak to a member of staff if you are having trouble, but it was too late for that and unfortunately this is a far greater inconvenience that maybe it should be. But such is the world we live in. This is, however, surely a very simple fix. In any case, I do plan on staying here again on a regular basis, needing to stay in Glastonbury at least once per month for the foreseeable future. I will just make sure I get connected during check in moving forward and that’s the one tip I would give to others, as that small hiccup aside, you couldn’t ask for a nicer place reasonably priced.

Enormous room, view over town. Bathroom a bit small and dated, would've liked a bathtub ideally, however, I understand that there are difficulties with such things in old buildings. Chris was very welcoming. The restaurant food was amazing! Thoroughly recommend. Will definitely stay again.

The room was good. Check in was fine but staff were so very busy, it was a bit rushed. However staff were very pleasant even though under a lot of pressure . We ate in the bar (not a restaurant). My partner had gammon which was fine but my fish and chip meal was not very good. Overall just taking the room into account it was good value for money. The bar food was a disappointment.

Decent budget rooms in a good location with parking behind and a public carpark opposite. The room lacked a hairdryer and towel rails. The exterior door keys we were given did not work which almost resulted in us being locked out overnight despite returning to the pub before 11pm. Luckily after being flipped the bird by the bar staff initially through the window as we frantically tried to get their attention to our plight they did come over to open the exterior door to let us in.

Property is in desperate need of updates and repairs. While some rooms looked recently renovated we were in room one and it has not been. The carpet had visible stains, the bed was as hard as a rock and while they gave us a second duvet to sleep on top of it didn’t do much to soften the bed. There was only one outlet that was easily accessible. Another behind the bed ( that was unable to be reached and based on the amount of dust had not been cleaned behind in some time. The headboard was falling off the bed frame. The walls in the bathroom were dirty with chipping paint. The floor was very soft in some areas and was concerned it would give way if you stepped on it. The gentleman in the pub area was nice and tried to help but with a full booking there wasn’t another room to move us to. The female bartender/waitress was less than friendly and acted as if I was an inconvenience for wanting better from the room. The good. . . The location to the Abbey, the Tor, and High street could not be beat. Also, the shower worked very well. I cannot in good conscience recommend staying here unless you know you are getting one of the newer renovated rooms. Sorry I didn’t take pictures at this location. I just really wanted to get out.

Great spot to stay in Glastonbury.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They accommodated us by making take away breakfast boxes because we had to leave early. Typical pub/inn with typical pub food. Under new management, so they were adjusting. The location was perfect, right in town and we got there early enough to get parking on site.

This place was older but the staff and owners / mangers were the most kind and considerate of anyone we had met on our trip. They took such good care of us and the food was excellent. They got us extra bedding let us store our luggage for a few hours outside of check in. Treated my friend nd to a birthday drink. They were like long lost friends. . I will send everyone I know of to the Market house if they are going to glastonbury
