The are some problems

The room and lift of hotel are a bit old and the poorly soundproofing allow us to hear everyone's talking on the corridor. I have to complain that the picture showed on the websites is totally different with our booking.

The best thing about the hotel was the staff. Each and everyone were so pleasant and helpful. The hotel itself was great but the staff really brought its excellence up to a higher level

Glasgow as packed due to uni graduations, so the hotels were full, overly expensive and check-in was held up because rooms weren’t ready, which doesn’t chime with the elevated price. It was also hot and with the window open, noisy. Great location though, and the staff are nice…

Friendly, helpful staff. One member asked us to wait on room being readied and then disappeared forgot about us waiting. Lady at reception made up for his stupidity.

Asked if I could move room even stated I was more than happy to pay extra if I could be on other side of hotel. My issue was an external air conditioning or refrigeration system fan that was echoing up the enclosed space where my room was located. Reception were more than happy to assist though my complaint was not 1 they had heard before. I explained that I was checking out 0430 and that I’d be asleep early. They happily moved me to another room. From the 7th floor to the 4th floor still on the same side and closer to the recurring fan noise. Earplugs purchased at supermarket were a blessing

Staff was great! Hotel was clean and breakfast was good. However, the rooms were extremely small with no furniture or drawers to put clothes in. Not even a bench to put luggage on. We had to pile our clothes on chairs. Its really a hotel for 1 or 2 nights only. No plugs by the bedside, only on the desk. Not a leisure hotel. Great location.

We arrived later in the evening and parked in the reserved lot but felt very unsafe. Very poor lighting and many people around with no security. Our room was overcrowded with us having to climb over 1 of the beds to get to the other side of the room. Super inconvenient. We ended up cutting our stay short and moving to a different hotel.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, made our stay very comfortable. The rooms condition was not upto the mark, and its terrible that the bathroom didn't have a ventilator/fan. It could be better maintained as a Mercure property.

Excellent

Everything was great. Lovely staff, goodie bag, comfortable bed, bath mat. The shower was awkward to use and bath very deep to climb out of. The bathroom needed a bit of TLC. All in all it was great and we were only there for one night. Ideal location in the city centre.
