We tried to book this hotel for dates for our April trip to Scotland. When I received the confirmation for the booking the dates were incorrect. We tried to cancel through Expedia immediately after the booking and was told it would take 72 hours for a response. We finally got a response that the hotel will not respond so they can not refund our money. Strange since I was able to get a response from the hotel when I messaged them and they told me the rom was not available for our requested date. I guess they decided since they couldn’t get our money with an actual stay they would just take our money by default. Very shady business practice if you ask me.

We stayed one night in a room with a view overlooking the Cathedral, which is directly across the street. We enjoyed exploring the Cathedral grounds and adjacent cemetery. The room was tastefully furnished and comfortable. There is a good Italian restaurant with bar on the ground floor of the building. If you want to eat there, you should consider making a reservation. I apparently missed an email giving instructions for self check-in, but one of the restaurant staff was able to help. We found a parking spot on the street in front of the hotel. There is a three hour limit during the day, but it is not enforced between 6PM and 8AM, so we were able to leave our car there overnight. We would stay again if our travels take us that way.

A quirky hotel in a great location. The room was lovely, spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed, plenty of space and 3 windows with lovely views towards the Cathedral and Necropolis. I ate at the hotel’s restaurant, Celentanos, where the food was excellent and the cocktails were particularly good. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Only slight downside was hauling my large bag up the several flights of stairs to my room but I’m sure the exercise did me good. Overall a lovely place to stay.

Great night in Cathedral House Hotel Glasgow
We loved the hotel the big en-suite and rainfall shower was terrific bath too plenty of space. Co-ordination excellent down to two gold coloured teaspoons. Could not have been more helpful arranging taxis supplying WiFi info etc. Comfy bed and good linen just like home! Thought we were home eating Continental breakfast next morning - exactly what I usually eat provided no fuss - all great 😊
