Great location. Close to Lake Mjose and walking distance to many diners. Parking is across the street and a McDonalds in walking distance. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff willing to assist at any time.

Fantastic breakfast included. Sofa bed was pulled out and made, easy for our extra guests. They even remembered extra towels. For a midgrade hotel, it was a great value that did not disappoint.

Comfortable bed and delicious breakfast buffet! Room fronting the main road missing small minibar/refrigerator compared to other room in same type. Horrible service that no cleaning or even simple make up of room is offered, yet asked for that in the reception early morning for that day.

Hotel looks and price give you higher expectations

Soundproof is terrible. You hear everything from both your neighbors and the hallway. Ventilation was poor and there was no AC. The shower floods the whole bathroom. Breakfast and reception service was pretty nice.

QUALITY STRAND HOTEL HAVE A CHALLENGE..

Quality Strand hotel Gjøvik has one big challenge. Inside the bathroom its not enough light above the mirrors. This cause big problems when saving and other doings. The positiv experience was the big exercise room and nearby parking with roof.

Not even close to the pictures.....

Standard was way lower than expected. The bathroom was very old and not cleaned well enough - closing in on nasty to be honest. The hand soap was empty. The curtains were dirty. The fridge was removed from the desk. Only positives to make are that the reception and breakfast staff was polite and helpful, the breakfast was good and the gym was well equipped for being a hotel gym.
