El Porxo is a beautifully furnished house with excellent beds, bed linen, towels, dressing gowns and slippers. Everywhere is super clean, including the large pool. Lovely well maintained gardens to relax in and a gorgeous dining terrace. The owner is delightful. We’ll definitely return if we come back to Girona.

Cannot fault this property. Warm hospitality from our host, made us feel very welcome. Beautiful garden and pool area, spotless room, super comfortable bed and the best shower ever! Would definitely recommend. Perfect for visiting Girona and nearby area. Must visit Peratallada. Will be back!

A very nice stay and excellent service. Family feeling. Best B&B we have been to. Only minus would be the breakfast, too expensive and very limited choices. If the breakfast had been ok we would give the highest score.

Stayed for 4 nights while traveling with another couple. Our host couldn’t have been more gracious and accommodating. The house and property are beautiful. Breakfast outdoors on the patio was a great treat!

Excellent B&B

We were in Girona for 5 nights to meet friends and stayed at El Porxo for one night. We could not recommend it more highly. Xavi was the perfect host and met us from the airport. The B&B is immaculate, the rooms are excellent and the gardens and pool area perfect. Xavi was very helpful with anything we needed during our stay. We wished we had been staying for more than one night, we will definitely be returning. Thank you Xavi.

House was very nice, room was clean and well-maintained, host was friendly and helpful. Breakfast emphasized quality over quantity. They provided oat milk on request for vegans. Only problem (and reason for 4 stars over 5) was that walls were thin and lacked any sound proofing - bring ear plugs.

The property is on a hill about 2.5km from the old town. It’s a lovely area although a bit of a walk into town there is an excellent inexpensive regular bus service right outside. The pool and grounds are superb and the rooms comfortable clean and modern with great linen and towels and super bed. Xavi is knowledgeable and on hand to help and has generational knowledge of Girona and surrounds. There is good parking and great security. This suits travellers with cars who can explore the Costa Brava and surrounds. If you are after night life and historic area it may not suit. I had my bike and it was brilliant. I will definitely come back.

Gerona fin by at besøge.

Vi boede på elporxo bb i 7 dage. Var 2 dage i Barcelona med fast train og 1 dag med bus til 2 mindre meget flotte byer. Resten brugte vi i geronia. Flot by med mange historiske bygninger, gode spisesteder, shopping, flot natur. Xavier vores vært var meget imødekommende og hjælpsom. Vi kunne ønske os egen kode til bygningen så vi selv KU komme og gå samt lidt mere fleksibilitet i forhold til morgenmads tider. Ellers alt i alt super godt.
