"We Miamians were unprepared for just how hot it would be in Iseltwald in early July in a heatwave. There was no AC (which is our natural state in the 305) and it took some getting used to but we survived. We came by car and parking was good. The road leading to the hostel (which was more like a driveway) was quite narrow and we were unprepared for it. We would soon learn that narrow streets are common in Europe and everyone is much more courteous that what we are accustomed to. Biggest issue was some sort of party nearby (on a Friday night, to be fair) that was quite noisy until past 3:00 am. It would have been fine with us but we had to check out the next day. It looks like we brought Miami vibes and weather to Switzerland when we went. Oh well."

"A wonderful discovery near Brienz! 🇨🇭 We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, perfectly located near Brienz in a peaceful and quiet setting. We especially appreciated the warm and welcoming hospitality of the owners and the entire staff. Our room was very comfortable, and the guesthouse is particularly well suited for families, with a welcoming atmosphere where everyone can feel at home. And the food was absolutely excellent! It was a real pleasure to enjoy the meals there. A wonderful place that we highly recommend for its perfect location, comfort, exceptional hospitality, and delicious food. We would happily return!"

"This hotel was very nice. The room was adequate for the two nights that we spent there. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. The only negative thing was that the rooms were not air conditioned and it was very hot there. The doors/windows needed to stay open to let in some air and the road that the hotel is on is pretty busy. So if you are a light sleeper, the noise from the road might bother you. The beds also were very firm which we also are not used to. The hotel is in a great location and the staff was very friendly"
