Lovely hotel just a 15 minute walk from Main Street. Great food in the restaurant, large bedrooms and a fabulous view looking towards Spain. Quite a few bus routes pass by the hotel, should you wish to avoid the walk up the hill. Well worth staying here. Will go back…

Fantastic stay at The Rock Hotel for my husbands 60th birthday. I purchased helium blooms in advance which were placed in the room for him. They went the extra mile and provided champagne and chocolates which was a fantastic touch and my husband was very surprised. We had afternoon tea in the hotel which was lovely and great to have a gluten-free option. We also dined in the hotel restaurant on one evening which was very nice. Beds were very comfortable and a fantastic sea view room. Staff were all extremely polite and helpful.

This is the most famous hotel in Gibraltar as far as I’m aware. It’s looking a bit tired and a little pricey,but overall it was a very good experience. Had a pleasant room with a nice balcony overlooking the water. It has the best shower I have experienced in a hotel. One negative point is it has the steepest driveway of any hotel I have stayed at.

Nice hotel across from a lovely botanical garden. Overall experience was good, felt a bit chaotic at times when staff were very busy. The staff are friendly, polite and very willing to help you.

Noisy hotel

Good breakfast. The room was a bit small, and the bathroom was also small. We had a lovely terrace. The view over the bay was very beautiful. The hotel was very noisy due to a steep road right in front, with cars accelerating loudly. You have to cross this road to get to the pool!

We were expecting better from such a renowned hotel with so much history. The staff was friendly especially the porter, the views were spectacular, however the dining experience was terrible, and very expensive. The rooms were pretty small but offered all the amenities needed and having a balcony was great. Good for 1 night but wouldn’t recommend staying longer.

We stayed at the charming Rock Hotel and were completely satisfied with the experience. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the buffet breakfast was excellent with plenty to choose from. There was some road noise, particularly from mopeds, but otherwise I would recommend the hotel as a base from which to explore Gibraltar.
