"locaction and room were decent. Cleanliness of the room was questionable as the floor was really dirty. This wasn’t a big deal. "We were very pleased with our stay. We had booked a premium room, and it was nice and spacious, and came with a premium pod coffee maker. We’d originally booked a room with a view, but asked for a quiet room, and upon arrival were told that it was really only possible to have one or the other. We opted for the quiet room instead, and were given breakfast included instead to make up for the price difference. The breakfast was excellent, with both a big buffet and à la carte options. My only complaint is that the shower stall did not seem to be properly sealed - there was a small gap at the base of the door - and so if we weren’t very careful about the direction of the nozzle, it would flood the floor - we ended up using towels on the inside near the base of the shower door to create a makeshift barricade. But this was a minor issue in an otherwise very enjoyable stay. "

"I do like this hotel, despite the hiccup(s) we had at the onset of check-in. I would like to send a thank you to Ilayda, who eventually got us checked into our room. She went well above and beyond and it did not go unnoticed. She not only corrected the issues but also made up for the mishaps, immediately. Ilayda wanted to assure us that our stay at Ghent Marriott Hotel, would be as great as we expected it…and because of her, it finally was. Our room was nice and spacious. Staff is nice and friendly. Breakfast was good, I just wished they served waffles as part of the buffet breakfast. We sat at the bar 2 nights in a row, and had drinks…the lobby/bar area is beautiful. Victoria, did check on us after we checked out of our room, as we sat in the lobby waiting for our ride to the train station. She did seem very genuine, in asking about our stay…which I appreciate. However, Ilayda saved the day and our stay. "

"I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The underground parking was easily accessed & check-in efficient & friendly (English speaking). The room was compact but comfortable with a good sized, comfy bed. I didn't hear any noise from other guests and the room temperature was easily controlled. Good TV as well. Didn't try the pizza advertised but will be returning shortly & will do then."
