We hadden een comfortkamer geboekt. Toen we in de kamer kwamen stonk het verschrikkelijk naar een afvoerputje. Het bed was ok en het ontbijt was super lekker...

I did not feel that the website portrayed the facility as it is. It is an old facility with old furniture and bed, e.g. keys to the room were from the 1920's. Bathroom facilities were modern and quite satisfactory.

Das Charme Hotel Hancelot ist leider schon in die Jahre gekommen. Schade. Auch aus einem denkmalgeschützten Haus kann man den Charme der Vergangenheit wiederbeleben. Das Frühstück ist ok. Leider mussten wir unser Auto in einem nahegelegenen Parkhaus unterbringem. 10min zufuß.

Hotel is quaint, in a period building with high ceilings and creaky floorboard. Staff were helpful, parking in their garage convenient, and the neighbourhood was quiet. TV didnt work, nor the Bathroom light, but the receptionist fixed the latter and we didn't bother to mention the TV. Main negative was the very bad smell from the drains in the bathroom, and the lack of air con.

Interesting character property that could probably do with a bit of a refresh. The room was a good size, with a comfortable bed. A couple of minor flaws, wiring was visible on the ceiling light, and the window frames had seen better days. I will probably stay elsewhere next time I am in Ghent.

Very nice small hotel! Breakfast was amazing. The room was comfortable, the area is beautiful, and we happened upon a small festival in the city center. We plan to stay again if we are ever in Ghent in the future!

Ein Hotel recht nah an Gent. Zu Fuß 15 Min., mit der Bahn 3 Min. Große Zimmer, allerdings im 2. Stock sehr steile Treppen. Tolles Frühstück, schöne alte Möbel überall, leider ist der Garten mit Sitzplätzen in keinem guten Zustand. Charme hat das Hotel ganz viel.

De kamer zelf viel helaas wat tegen (Wij hadden de kamer met het "inloop bad". Wat lichten waren kapot, en soms zelfs het glad ervan ook, waardoor draden open en bloot in een vochtige badkamer hingen. Ook was de kamer nog erg stoffig bij ons bezoek. In de hoeken van de kamer en onder het bed was er al een tijdje niet gestofzuigd. Echter het personeel en het ontbijt was hartstikke goed. Het hotel is op een kwartiertje lopen van het centrum, en we mochten onze auto 2 uur langer laten staan dan eigenlijk gereserveerd was. Aan service en vriendelijkheid geen gebrek!

Great little hotel - shabby chic, good fresh breakfast - only slight downside was it can be a little noisy due to to old wooden floor boards but for me this adds even more character to this lovely building- would definitely stay again - around 10 mins walk to the centre of Ghent

Du charme mais aussi de la vétusté

Hôtel qui a certes le charme des vieilles maisons et des vieux meubles mais qui est malheureusement en très mauvais état. Dans la chambre (surclassée !) il manquait 1 rideau et 1 autre était dégrafé (à 3m de hauteur...); douche et lavabo certes neufs mais reste de la sdb non refait ... vitres sales et réparées au scotch, aucune insonorisation, baguettes de câblerie cassées,multiprises/fils partout, TV de la taille d'un IPAD, etc...Mosaïque cassée dans l'entrée, jardin à l'abandon, etc... Points très positifs : literie confortable, parking (rare à Gand) et PDJ bon rapport qualité/prix, service aimable. En conclusion, dommage car le bâtiment a vraiment du potentiel, mais les photos sont trompeuses et il ne devrait pas être annoncé à 4* en l'état dans l'offre.

Eigentlich ein schönes altes Haus, aber sehr in die Jahre gekommen, ohne dass man entsprechend ausbesserte und renovierte. Das Bad ist gewöhnungsbedürftig, der Frühstücksraum sehr schön aber seeehr kalt!
