The room itself was clean, but could use updating. I am a handicap person and the bathroom set up was hard to maneuver even in an accessible room. Breakfast was cold and not edible, but it was free. The location is great and I would recommend if you just need somewhere to sleep.

Our stay was great from check-in to check out. The building is older but very well maintained and clean. We traveled with our small dog and have to say that they have a very reasonable pet fee of $25. Plenty of grassy areas for pet relief with friendly signs reminding people to clean up after their pets. The location is ideal as it is in walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and historical sites. The breakfast spread was a great variety and the breakfast crew kept the food stocked, fresh, and area clean. Our room was very clean and well maintained. While there is no microwave in the room, there is one available in the hotel lobby for use. Maybe not as many modern frills as some chains, but we found this hotel to be an excellent choice and even joined their loyalty program.

Location, location, location! Older hotel that is currently under construction for improvements. Also the boiler has gone out and there was a machine that ran all night. The hotel rooms are on the outside of the building but this was not an issue for us. Just the noise of the machine was irritating. Upon arrival the staff was welcoming and helpful. Room was clean. Breakfast buffet is served. I would stay here again when all construction is completed. Many restaurants and shopping are within walking distance.

We enjoyed staying at the 1863 inn at Gettysburg. It's very clean, breakfast was very good and the staff are very friendly. It's convenient walking distance to historical sites, shopping & restaurants. Rooms were quiet & pet friendly too.

The room was nice. The breakfast was definitely the best part and the staff there. A few mishaps concerned me and when raised just brushed off. No hot water due to broken back up water heater. It was fixed later that day. Maid showed up in morning and asked if we were checking out late. We were there for 2 more nights. But she had the room as empty. Sitting in the room the next day and a man walked in, no knock. Very intrusive. I stepped out and asked how he opened the door. He did apologize he had a master key and was checking the smoke detectors. When we checked out the clerk asked how are stay was. When i said fine I guess other than the few mishaps. She just responded we hope you come again. No concern as to what the mishaps were

We arrived after along day of travel and no hot water in the building. They had a company piping in hot water the following day upon check out. Very disappointed. Thin blankets. Room was outside entrance, 4 th floor facing intersection. Noisy cars and when stopped at stoplight exhaust from cars came into room. Breakfast was good. Older but clean. Beds were satisfactory however TV was cheap, channel selection poor and poor quality TV. Would not stay again. Moved our stay to holiday in express. Location however was good for touring and resteraunts options.
Resteraunt nearby. Lower level. Great staff and food. Reminded me of a speak ez.
