Wonderful stay

One of the best motels we stayed in during our 5 week tour of Australia and New Zealand. Exceptionally well laid out and maintained accommodation in separate cabins with nice surroundings. Great service and welcome from the proprietor. Can highly recommend and hope to come back some day!

This was an excellent find. It was good to have our own unit. It was super clean and well maintained. Ange and Paul are wonderful hosts and were very helpful in providing dining options, tour information, etc. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend to anyone that is in the area.

We had such an amazing stay at this place strongly because of the owner Angeline. I had called them before I arrived as I got an email from Expedia. She quickly eased any worries about my late’ish arrival. We had checked in late after a long day at Lake Tekapo only to be greeted by Angeline with her warm hospitable smile along with many dinner recommendations around town. Parking is ample outside the cabins. There are these x2 amazing massage chairs where we chilled out horizontally after a long day at Mount Cook. Shower pressure is fantastic. Bed comfy, place super clean. Even had ice and milk in the fridge. Our stay as a whole was such a treat after questionable at best hotels/motels all week. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place and we will surely visit again in the near future. 10/10 👍.

The Grey on Black Morel was adorable. We had our own individual unit with full sized refrigerator, stovetop, microwave, and all cooking and serving pieces. We checked in after hours, but the owner lives on the property and assured us that a late check in was no problem. Once we arrived she walked us through the unit to make sure we knew where everything was. The unit itself was super clean and comfy. We were treated to two reclining chairs to watch TV in the evening. The bed was comfortable and we had electric blankets to warm it up before going to sleep. We were given a later check out with a friendly smile and a “no worries.” I would highly recommend this motel for a longer or short term stay.

We loved staying and cant wait to go back.

What a fantastic place to stay and we will definitely be back for a longer stay. The rooms are only 2 months old and Angela and Paul have done a great job. They were perfect hosts and very friendly. The bed was so comfortable and after a long day of travelling, we over slept the next morning!

Lovely spacious rooms, warm, great views, central, easy parking and the owners are lovely! Got a call to ask if i was apart of an event that had been cancelled. Was so lovely that they called to make sure we were all good. Would 110% stay there again. Australian parents were warm considering it is middle of winter
