Hotel is near the Cornavin train station yet in a quiet location and close to restaurants in all directions. Hotel staff were helpful and rooms were clean. We were able safely leave some of our stuff for storage while we took extended side trips.

Super convenient to the train station. Also, just around the corner from a thoroughfare with restaurant, coffee shops, gelato. The walk to the lake and old town was also quick.

Very convenient for the station, easy walk to nice restaurants and town. Minimalist, but had everything you need for a short stay. Clean, stylish, everything worked. Check in good and friendly. Hotel gave free day's travel on public transport

Excellent value for money, the staff at the front desk is extremely friendly and always ready to solve any problem. My first visit to Geneva (17 years ago) was to this hotel and from then until now it has improved a lot. It no longer resembles that old, dirty and dark hotel.

This place was great. You are sooooooo close to the train station. Access to the tram ssytem is Geneva was easy due to the hotel providing a transportation voucher. The staff here are quiet and keep out of the way, but if you ask them for help they are exciting to share their ideas and opinions on Geneva! I would come back to this specific hotel, for sure! Geneva was beautiful!

A good hotel in a convenient location

The hotel is in a convenient location near the train station. It is decorated in a modern style. Hotel staff were nice and efficient. The rooms get a fair amount of noise from outside on the street, people in the hallways and near elevators. There is air conditioning, but is set by the hotel (perhaps a little warmer than some might like). Rooms are clean and functional, but may not always seem comfortable.

The location of this property in Geneva could not be better. Literally adjacent to the train station, shopping, excellent cafés and restaurants, and within a five minute walk of the lake and the promenade. Excellent for a solo traveler or a couple. Staff was warm and attentive and housekeeping, efficient and daily. I will absolutely stay here again when I return to Geneva.

My strategy is to book a hotel within walking distance of the train station, and Hotel Cristal fits this criterion. PROs: Walking distance to a vibrant shopping streets, e.g., Mont Blanc, Berne, etc., and plenty of eateries. Small cozy hotel room with all the convenience, clean, and topnotch shower! An off-season reasonable price. Excellent breakfast on the 8th Floor with a fantastic view at sunrise! Polite breakfast assistants. Nice lounge area which I never used to relax or do anything. CONs: Room could use a larger TV screen. More central lightings needed even though eco-friendliness is at play here. Hotel still uses traditional room keys with heavy metal keychain - imagine carrying that around town in your backpack! No free local newspapers for customers. Front desk staff could be a little less formal. But again chitchat is optional, and staff is a bit too cold and formal. An excellent choice after all. Recommended.

A very clean and comfortable stay with a helpful and friendly staff. Excellent location as it was close to the train station, restaurants and was situated for a nice walk next to the lake. A pass for public transportation was a bonus.
