This Premier Inn isn't at the airport; you have to walk about 10 minutes, and the halls smell damp. But the restaurant servers were excellent, and the food was good. The bathrooms were clean; we would stay again now that we know it's not by the airport.

Take a short walk around to the left as you exit the North Terminal and this Premier Inn is less expensive than the one directly opposite. I left early before breakfast to check in at the airport but I had a good night's sleep and the room was comfortable and quiet.

We really enjoyed our stay here before our flight from Gatwick. It’s a simple, no-frills hotel, but it was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a good night’s sleep. What stood out to me was the homey feel. It reminded me of staying at a small rural hotel in Ontario—nothing fancy or overly polished, just comfortable and welcoming. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere felt relaxed and unpretentious. The breakfast was another pleasant surprise. It was substantial, with plenty to choose from, and set us up well for the day of travelling ahead. The location was also ideal for getting to the airport without any hassle. Overall, it felt like a comfortable and easy place to stay, and I’d happily stay here again when flying out of Gatwick.

We were given an accessible room on the ground floor that was damp and musty smelling. We arrived late and so did not have the energy to request a room change and move. The climate control system was not user friendly either.
