I love Gatlinburg and we always get a cabin while there. This is the first and last time I will use Aunt Bugs rentals. A super nice handicapped man waited on me at check-in and another worker was very rude to him right in front of me. She was insinuating that he wasn't and didn't ever do his job. I was embarrassed for him. The living room furniture was old and worn out and everything was very dusty. The hot tub did not work when we got there so it was cold, but maintenance did arrive quickly. At checkout, we left the key on the kitchen counter as the lockbox door fell off in our hands upon checking in. We didn't think anything of leaving the key on the counter as this is what we had done at previous rentals. We just turned the lock on the door handle and left. Apparently staff was unable to get the door open and I was charged $95 for a locksmith. At one point our parties were separated and used a credit card to get the door open in less than 10 seconds.....but they needed a locksmith? Why would there only be one key to a cabin anyway? When I called the office about the key and told them about what I had witnessed between the employees the man just said he couldn't see that happening as everyone in the office gets along. Clearly they get along because the young man doesn't respond to the bullying from this woman. I will never use Aunt Bugs again as there are many other more professional rental services available.
