The breakfast was wonderful, dinner too. Though finding a table could be hard. Hotel a little dated, but rooms are spacious. Ours was a bit far from reception but connected by underground tunnels. Parking cost 15 Euro a night. Drinks very expensive. Water was 7.50 euros. If you take the meal package you must pay additional £30 euro for the kitchen facility but worth it. Carpets need renewing. Pool was large and lovely with super mountain views.
Had an overall really good stay. Most of the staff was pleasant, the site had plenty of amenities to offer…. Assuming you have time left after skiiing, and rooms were comfortable… especially the view if you’re in the upper buildings. Love the traditional Bavarian atmosphere.
Cons and reason for not giving 5-stars:
-Several staff were not so pleasant when asking questions.
-lack of flexibility for dinner seating (choose 6 or 8pm with no chance to adjust during your stay). Would be valuable to have some ability to adjust when needed or at least with advance notice.
-staff often gave conflicting rules… particularly about the sauna area.
With those and considering the price premium, I didn’t rate as a 5-star value but enjoyed the stay.
Breakfast was fantastic.
Very spacious room, great breakfast, great gym and pool, outstanding location.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Spacious rooms and very good breakfast.
The downside is that you have to walk a long way with your luggage, either from the reception or the garage.
Average hotel.
Super views from the apartment. Very relaxing living room. Comfortable beds. Very tasty breakfast and dinner. Beautiful dining area, you feel like you're eating in the woods. Great swimming pool. Perfect base for your hikes.
The hotel was fantastic. It was comfortable and quiet with easy access to the village. The staff were helpful and gracious. The breakfast was amazing. All was great and a wonderful stay for our family.
Absolutely beautiful property, located in a perfect location for the local hikes such as Partnach Gorge. The accommodations were nice and cozy, sure they lack those modern details like your standard modern corporate hotel but its character and makes you feel at home. Staff were super friendly, even when I struggled to speak the German from my translation app, they were very patient with me. The breakfast buffet top notch, plenty of food and variety, its something I will miss when traveling to my next destination in Germany. I would stay here again the next time I visit Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
A perfect location if you’re into wintersports or hiking. The room was clean and cosy. Breakfast and diner was very tasteful. Staff is friendly. The parking spots are a bit tide, but at least you can park here. Overall, it was a very nice stay.
We were so impressed with the staff's helpfulness, friendliness and accommodating attitude - we actually wished we had booked a longer stay. Then there is the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel that was outstanding, plus the loads of amenities we didn't even get to sample due to our enjoying the slopes in Garmish so much. And we also revelled in the Amazing food + beer and wine. All in all, we felt like royalty staying at our winter palace :)
The family suite is large with 2 bathrooms. Great space! The pool is fun. The property is a bit older but well maintained. The Biergarten is lovely. It has activities for kids too.
If you like to hike, this is the place to be! It's a less than 10-minute walk to the Olympic Stadium and Gorge. There is a fabulous little cafe within the stadium and ski lifts. We dined at the restaurant in the hotel the first evening. It was rather expensive for 2 adults/3 kids, however, the buffet selection was AMAZING! We will definitely stay again!
This property is very close to the ski slope, and is a short walk to Partnachklamm. It’s a family resort with a nice swimming pool and a great playground for kids. It has a nice outdoor patio where they serve food and beer in fine weather. It’s about a mile from the train station in Garmisch, so we were able to walk back and forth along the river. We would definitely stay there again.
