"Aauris is a centrally located hotel. That makes it a winner. They have tried to fit in a nice room into a small space. Facilities are good. Service is good too. Best for executives travelling to the center of the city on work. Can be ok for a couple. We chose it for 3 adults - a couple + (adult) daughter. Better to forewarn the room is v small for 3 people - hope this helps future travellers. "

"The property is new, and the facilities are well maintained. The property is a bit inside of the main road, so spotting it might be a hassle. The rooms are actually very small in size, and that is an issue(for some, maybe).
Also the hotel doesn't allow food from outside(to promote their costly in-room dining facilities), which is a hassle.
Overall, the stay is awesome if we don't take into account the small rooms and no outside food policy. Have stayed for only one day, so can't really comment...

"I really liked this little budget hotel. It is in a fantastic location in Kolkata within walking distance of all kinds of coffee shops, restaurants, and shops. Staff are friendly and courteous. They have a cute little cafe attached to the hotel that had great food and was always busy. All day breakfast plates were especially good.
It is basic, but clean. Great value for money! Would definitely stay here again. "

"I stayed at ITC Royal Bengal for three nights and had a wonderful experience. Check-in was smooth, and the reception staff upgraded me to a beautiful Exclusive Room with a fantastic view of the city skyline. Service throughout the stay was excellent, from housekeeping to dining.
A special mention for the in-room dining team. On the night of December 31st, my sister and I returned late from a gathering and placed an order around 2:30 a.m. Despite the late hour, the team called to confirm the order and delivered freshly cooked, hot food within an hour. That level of service and care truly stood out and made us feel very well looked after.
The restaurants were equally impressive, offering high-quality food with a great variety. I also loved spending time at the Sky Lounge. I met friends there a few times and thoroughly enjoyed the live music, ambiance, and overall vibe of the place.
What really sets ITC Royal Bengal apart is the balance of luxury, warmth, and professionalism. Every interaction, from the front desk to dining and housekeeping, reflected genuine hospitality. I would absolutely choose to stay here again whenever I visit Kolkata to see friends and family. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a refined, comfortable, and memorable stay."

I stayed at Fern Inn near Ballygunge Railway Station for 6 days, and my experience was genuinely amazing. The staff members were extremely helpful, and the host Avishek was experienced, polite, and very cool in nature. The owners were a very patient and humble couple, which made the overall stay even more comfortable.
The rooms were clean, well maintained, and worth the price. Some reviews mentioned noise because of the nearby railway station, but I personally never felt any disturbance — it was peaceful throughout my stay.
Overall, a wonderful experience with absolutely no negative points. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
