Good option for Gardiner. Hotel is “old” but fit the the bill. Had tv, fridge and hot water. The staff were very helpful. Town is just a short walk. Would stay here again.

Nice big room,clean,nice staff, the one of them shot a gun up in the air to try to scare away a bulldog in the parking lot didn't really think that was necessary.Nice warm pool, was told there would be breakfast at 7, but there was nothing put out, the next day they told us they didn't have breakfast. Very close to the entrance to yellowstone.

Maria, the front desk clerk was amazing. She was fantastic with area dining info and sweet as pie. The room, grounds and location was perfect for us. Very clean, neat and pleasant place. Maria even complimented the owner of the property who handcrafted much of the decor within the lobby. No employee compliments the boss. We would stay there again without hesitation!!!!

Basic hotel but excellent service from guys at front desk. Gave me great advice on when and where to see the most wildlife including areas outside of the park. Would definitely stay again when I visit Yellowstone!

I loved the PERFECT cleanliness and PERFECT order of everything in the room. I LOVED THE PEACE AND QUIET!! There was no noise from other rooms or staff or visitors. The setting of the motel was so beautiful! AN elk was nibbling on a bush the last nigth I came back!!

I split my time visiting Yellowstone between Gardner and West Yellowstone. I personally liked Gardner more, and this location is prime for doing so. The building was older, but in great shape. It's actually walkable into town and connected by sidewalks, which is a huge plus. The room itself had everything I needed and was clean. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

This is the only hotel in Gardiner I would consider staying at. It is family owned and the staff is great. The property is immaculate and there is hot coffee available 24/7. There is a laundry room available for guests and everything you need is close by, ie., grocery, gas, restaurants, etc. We left Gardiner to go to Jackson and were so disappointed with our hotel there that we packed up and went back to Yellowstone Village Inn knowing how good it was. Thanks Josh, Houston and all of the staff at YVI. We will be back.

What I did not like was the room did not come with any drawers anywhere, We were staying for a week and had to live out of our suitcases. The only hotel I have ever stayed in without a place to put your clothes. The other thing was the desk did not have a light fixture nor did it have any electrical outlets to recharge your phone or computer.

The room was disgusting! Cob webs and spiders everywhere. Mouse/rat poop in the nightstand. The sink and tub were awful! Thank goodness I brought Clorox wipes. The gunk in and around the sink came out easily, which shows that no one even attempted to wipe it down. The shower was filthy brown and the shower curtain moldy. The room smelled so bad. We brought all of our luggage back to our car once we realized how awful the room was. We would've eaten the $400/night ($900 total) if there was another hotel nearby. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
