Let’s go deep into the stepwell! . . You look at it from the right or from the left. No matter from which angle you choose to look at it, ‘Panna-Meena’ stepwell is truly an architectural marvel. This place was built in 16th century as a community place where one can come and relax as it was much cooler by the water tank in the scorching summer heat. The geometric repeated patterns of stepwell will definitely strike a chord with you all once you visit this stepwell. This place definitely counts as a less explored place in Jaipur.
Falling for Stepwell yet again! . . Stepwell always has a story woven to it. The descending set of steps of The Nahargarh Stepwell leads to the groundwater which in olden days was the main source of water during summers. The steps give an image of waves rolling downwards from the hills. This particular one was built in such a way that it will collect the water from the hill side of the fort. Even today, the Stepwell is known for its brilliant design and usefulness. That’s the beauty of an old world charm, isn’t it?
The beauty of a Gate! . . The vibrant culture of Rajasthan can be seen at a glance when one walks through an aisle of this place. Each pillar showcases hand paintings of temples, forts, palaces, portraits of rulers of Jaipur and many such things. All of these are artistically displayed in the lively colours at the Ninth Gate, known as the Patrika Gate. This gate happens to be an entrance of Asia’s biggest circular park- Jawahar Park. One can only get mesmerised by the sheer beauty of this ‘now not so hidden gem of Jaipur’
Amber Fort, located atop of a hill is bound to endear many visitors as it is next to impossible to visit Jaipur without stopping by this legendary fort. One can spend half a day here exploring the fascinating rooms, royal apartments and listen to the wonderful stories every inch of this fort has to share.
