I absolutely loved my stay at the Huntsman. From the moment I walked in the door at the reception desk to my meals in the restaurant, and to my leaving everyone was so welcoming so kind so helpful that it helped overcome any issues going on in the country related to fuel shortages. They are an excellent staff. Wonderful rooms. Beds are extremely comfortable.

Upon arrival the lot was completely full due to a match nearby. But when I parked illegally and went to check in, the lovely receptionist, Kelly, spoke to the restaurant and asked that I be allowed to park in a specific spot not typically allowed for patrons. So appreciated after the drive from Dublin in the rain. The room was very large, with a separate lounge area and was generally clean. It was a bit musty and could have used a dehumidifier but opening the windows helped. The bathroom was very large but didn't have the best smell, again i think the humid air was part of the cause. But the shower was great and got very hot. It should be noted that this hotel is well aligned with the restaurant next door. When we slept in late and arrived to eat right when breakfast was ending, they still accommodated us and it was delicious. Also, the wait staff was super helpful with bus info to get into town. When booking I didn't realize how far outside of the city center we were and ended up walking once, a good 15-20 minutes, and then taking the bus other times. Also, for those planning to rent a car there is a circle K right next door.

Nice play to stay for a traveler with a car - situated on the outskirts of town, walkable to town but with ample parking. Room was large and clean, with great natural light.

Our stay at the Huntsman was very pleasant. The room was clean and large and the bed was very comfortable. I was unable to adjust the temperature by the thermostat but the windows opened so I was able to cool the room. The restaurant and bar are located on site. Both are welcoming. The restaurant menu is varied and the food is well prepared. Free parking is available in front of the hotel.

The inn was quiet, relaxing, and very comfortable. The staff were super nice and made it very easy to check in and out. When I come back to Galway, I will definitely be staying here again.
