Our Double room was pokey. Too small for two people. There was only one chair, no table, no desk. The reason? Because they can't fit them in! I had to use the bed as a table to use my computer. There was no hair dryer. When I lodged a message to the townhouse staff asking whether they were supplied, no one responded. We happened to bump into the cleaner, who provided one. I would not stay at this place again. It is poor value and has terrible amenity.

We ran into problems with our transportation getting us back from Galway to Dublin (work on the rail line interrupting service), and could no longer go, and wanted to communicate the difficulty given it was out of our hands hoping perhaps they would help in some way. We were a group of 8. Everyone tried to communicate with the property and the property never replied despite multiple attempts. Very unprofessional. One member even reached out to ask if they had hair dryers. Also no reply. I would be careful about booking with a property you can't communicate with at all.

The best thing about this property is the location. It is in the heart of Galway and just steps from the Latin Quarter. We were able to park for 3 nights at the Cathedral with no issues, you just have to download the Galway Parking App. We chose a comfort room, for a little extra space and the room was clean. The bed was extremely firm, much like sleeping on a rock. This was our first time in Ireland and were not aware there is no AC in most homes or apartments throughout the country. Having the fan with the window open was comfortable, but we also visited in September, so I'm not sure how bearable it would be in hotter months. Also, we happened to see housekeeping in another room and determined they do not provide washcloths (the small square ones), only hand and bath towels. This became a theme throughout our trip when we weren't staying in fancy hotels, so not sure why washcloths aren't typically provided in Ireland. Finally, the information provided about the room stated there should be 2 TV remotes, one for Sky and one for the TV. Our room only had the Sky remote and their Sky service wasn’t working. We needed the TV remote to access Netflix. I called the number provided for service questions and was told that someone would be by in 30 minutes to drop off a remote. We waited for 2 hours with no one ever showing up. Multiple calls and WhatsApp messages went unanswered. We finally hunted down housekeeping again the next day who gave us one from another room.

Very clean and close to the main parts of town we wanted to wander. They gave us great suggestions for parking as well. Easy check out! Only issue was ground floor was a little loud as it’s at street level. I was able to sleep through it but if you are a light sleeper get a room upstairs. Would definitely stay here again!

I liked the room it was very clean and the manager was very friendly. There was not a great way to reach him though and I did email him during our stay with no response. I booked the room due to my boyfriend being handicapped. He is in a wheelchair and the listing says they offer a roll in shower with an opening of 47 inches. The opening of the shower was maybe half of that and my boyfriend was unable to use the shower and the bathroom was not accessible either. It really should not be listed that something is accessible if it is not. It is very important to have bathroom access and was quite disappointing to find that he could not use the restroom.

The bathroom had an overpowering smell of mildew. The shower was not draining so we had to turn the water on and off to avoid flooding the bathroom. This would have been evident when the staff cleaned the shower before our stay which makes me think the shower was not cleaned. We emailed the manager about this on the first day and were told it would be fixed. It was not fixed until the end of the second day so we again had to use water intermittently. The floors were visibly dirty as well. The bed was small and uncomfortable, and the pillows were unusually thick which made it uncomfortable no matter which way you turned. The room was quite warm at night despite the weather being cool. The fan was minimally helpful. The only good thing about this place is the location. It is very close to shops, restaurants and pubs while also being very quiet even with the window open. Also we paid for an early check-in, or so I thought. You pay 20€ to “request” an early check-in whether you get one or not. I requested a refund as we did not get an early check-in but I was continuously directed back to the early check-in request form and did not receive a refund.

the room was so small you couldn't use the toilet and keep the door closed. Def. do not do a snug room with two people. Also there is no safe for locking passports or anything and the cleaning staff came only 1 time in the 4 days we stayed. The wifi didn't work and there is no front desk so you have to text on whatsapp, but staff never responded despite many attempts. def do not stay here unless youre looking for a hostel vibe

It was a self check in kiosk so no staff on site, but they sent very clear instructions. Room was nice, fan included. Very walkable. Lots of car parks near by.

Great location and a quiet room. A non hosted hotel has distinct disadvantages but that is part the of the price. We only had scalding hot water in our shower and I did not particularly want to complain to the bots. Otherwise, the room was clean and comfortable in a location that could not be any better.

Check in went well, we obtained our key cards via the machine without problem. The location was excellent, close to the Latin quarter with the lively shops and restaurants. We slept well in the bed, very comfortable. The one complaint concerned the bathroom. Every time we used the sink, we were overwhelmed with a sewage smell which lasted and lingered throughout our stay (3 days). We had to keep the bathroom door closed and the bathroom fan on for our entire stay in order to manage the unpleasant odour. We advised the property manager who did have staff come to cover the smell with chemicals. However, as soon as we used the sink, the smell returned. We wouldn’t stay here again.

- The room was clean, but lacked any air conditioning appliances. We were lucky enough to borrow a fan from our friend who had two in his room. - The window could open but would not close all of the way. - We wanted to stream some shows from my laptop and tried connecting to the different inputs on the TV but they would not work. - The parking is not onsite and the lot across the street has some conflicting messages about overnight parking. We were able to park for 2 nights and paid for a full daily parking which was about $30. The spots are not guaranteed however and fill up very quickly. - WiFi is available but you will need to use WhatsApp (which ironically uses data/wifi) to contact the property for the password to the non-Guest Wifi. - No staff on the property was no issue as they were prompt in response with WhatsApp It's a good walking distance to the port and to downtown. There are plenty of eats and bars around but it's far enough away that you won't be disturbed by the night crowd too much.

All in all, a safe book for Galway. We arrived at the check-in time, got our key, got our rooms and had a very pleasant stay. There is a café in the same building (not part of the guesthouse) that had a decent spread for breakfast at a decent price. Short walk to the train & bus station as well as the sights in town. A good choice if you're looking for an affordable, comfortable stay, in Galway.
