Fantastic location

Fantastic location right in the heart of Funchal old town. Just round the corner from the christmas market. Plenty of local restaurants and very handy for the bus from/to the airport

Very good location and very clean but that was the noiseest place ever stayed you could here everything from the neighbors and also you could see the lights. like the hostel just you paid for private

I thought my little double room was just right and very cute. I highly recommend it for the location! It had utensils and pots in the kitchen cupboard and a small fridge which is handy. I really enjoyed my stay. Sound travels easily through the door but I didn’t find it an issue. Great option for solo travellers that don’t want to stay in a hostel.

Good location, price and room!

Good location, good price and good room! Loved having a kitchenette and the bathroom was very nice with a big shower. Only thing was that it was hotter than expected during our stay and with no aircon and only a small fan it did get rather hot at night

Buona posizione, adatto per soggiorni molto brevi

Posizione molto comoda, in pieno centro storico per cui ci si può muovere comodamentr a piedi. Il nostro appartamento era sul retro dell'edificio ed aveva una finestra piccola che si poteva aprire solo a metà e non dava direttamente sull'esterno ma sulla scala interna. Essendo l'unica finestra l'appartamento risulta troppo buio e decisamente poco areato. Non c'è aria condizionata ma solo un ventilatore da tavolo è poco confortevole durante il giorno perchè si accumula il caldo e lasera prima che rinfreschi un pò si fatica a dormire. Buona pulizia. Proprietari gentili. Contrariamente a quanto ci era stato indicato al momento della prenotazione, trovate sia gli asciugamanti che le lenzuola per cui non occorre portarli con sè.

Nice location on a street with eateries and only 2mins from the promenade and bus stops. 5-10mins walk to Funchal Old Town.

Endroit très vieillot, mais pour le prix du séjour c’est correct mais nous avons été déçu, ayant notre chambre qui a vu sur la cour intérieure où il y a divers machines qui tournent et les employés qui s’y sont à parlé une bonne partie de la nuit et de la journée, alors là grâce matinée on l’oublie. C’est mal insonorisé Chaque fois que quelqu’un passe dans le couloir on entend. Pour finir, les punaises/puce dans le lit, et ce lever Le Matin avec des rougeurs par tout sur le corps c’est pas très hygiénique. Un endroit à pas forcément à y aller à par si vous avez vraiment un petit budget pour dormir.

Hotelli hyvällä paikalla mutta uudistusta vailla

Sijainti on loistava. Muuten hotelli oli pettymys kovien ja vanhojen patjojen, vähäisen säilytystilan, pienen huoneen ja tulvivan suihkun lattiakaivon vuoksi. Koska ikkuna oli sisäpihalle, mitään näkymiä eikä päivänvaloa ei juuri ollut. Respa oli auki 24/7, mikä oli hyvä. Myös siisteystasosta kiitosta. Työntekijät tosin tuntuivat viihtyvän omissa oloissaan. Huoneemme oli ylimmässä kerroksessa ja portaita oli liikaa. Aamupala ei ollut hintansa arvoinen.

Hotel Zarco

The hotel although small and basic was a bit dated but in an excellent location,inside really needs updating with a coat of paint and modernising with better beds,furniture and newer TV and more power points in the rooms but it does the job as a base if your out all day and only there to shower and sleep,The staff were helpful and i must say the bar right outside the hotel entrance was the best local food and beer i found for quality and price.would i stay here again....probably yes as very reasonably priced for location.

Decepcionada

Está sendo horrível um calor e só tem um ventilador muito pequeno e a velocidade é fraca deve ser porque é muito velho. Pedi para hoteis .com que fosse para não fumantes mais o cheiro da fumaça do cigarro é forte durante a noite não durmo pois tenho problema no pulmão e fico com falta de ar meu esposo tem problema na coluna e o colchão é péssimo. Só a limpeza que é boa. Infelizmente foi tudo ao contrario do que planejei. O pior é que hoteis.com me enviou e-mail confirmando tudo.

Location and value for money

But run down, but the location is super central (close to city and waterfront). Can get noisy and the beds aren’t the most comfortable for lets say a week long stay, but if you want to do one or two nights in Funchal then you can’t find better value for money than this (I tried multiple hotels so I know).

Obras urgentes

Sanita entupida, a cama supostamente era para ser de casal, era uma cama de corpo e meio, duche sem condiçoes, no geral muito mau. As autoridades deviam fazer uma inspeção e mandar fazer obras ou entao fecha porque condiçoes é zero. O barato sai caro.

Bon point de chute à Funchal !

Séjour agréable , un peu bruyant la nuit avec le tam tam bien qu'assourdi de la musique moderne jusqu'à 03 h de la nuit suivie d'une sortie sur la place sous la fenêtre d'une société jeune et parlant fort .C'est peut être la coutume … Rien à dire sur l'hôtel propre confortable , sans luxe mais très suffisant. Bon emplacement central , très accessible à pied et en bus de la ville . Direct de l'aéroport. les déplacements à petit prix .Mais l'hôtel donne sur une autre grande place belle et calme , mais à quel prix ?
