Yes, Bar was well stocked food was available continuously. The only problem was at night the meat was dry. Otherwise the breakfast meals were fantastic. Lunch was great , suppers not so great but good for family. They were a little short of staff. I believe it was hard to get a reservation at a dining room on the facility for evening.

Out of five catamarans only two were in sailing condition. The pool table sags in the center. The air hockey table doesn’t work. There was no ball for fuss ball table. Despite being an all-inclusive resort, tip jars were everywhere. We were unable to get reservations at any à la carte restaurant all week; this is done via app. The buildings need cleaning and renovations. The beach is superb. The room was quiet except one night when neighbors were speaking loudly after midnight. The trapeze show was stunning. The buffet food was excellent. The staff was friendly. Checking in and out was easy. This was my third stay at Viva Fortuna. I will return if they update facilities and equipment.

The property itself is nice. The rooms were dirty but they keep the main areas nice. The entertainment staff our awesome. The food in the buffet is ok. Bummer you can only book a restaurant 1 time during your stay. Not our typical experience at an all inclusive. Stayed in 15 of them and this was our least favorite, but it was ok. Certainly wouldn’t but a time share there.

Just got back from à week at Viva Fortuna and had an excellent time! We are a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teenagers). Here is the best overview I can give: Staff: Wish I could give more than 5 ⭐️! Everyone was extremely kind and welcoming. Bartenders were attentive and fun. Wait staff was quick to clear your plates with a smile. Kitchen staff was helpful and friendly, did a great job of keeping the buffet clean and full. Housekeeping was great! We only had our room cleaned every other day but they were available for extra towels or drinks. Groundskeepers were always working to keep the grounds tidy and clear of debris, had a pretty rough storm one night and things were clear/clean by lunch. Entertainment staff was amazing! Always on they worked so hard, very energetic and did a great job of keeping things upbeat with a variety of activities throughout the day and night. Resort/grounds: The resort is older and a bit run down in spots.Mostly the bathrooms are small and dated. It did not bother our family. The main areas bar/lobby/buffett/ pool/ A la cart restaurants were clean, tidy and looked more updated. The rest of the grounds were beautiful beach was clean and had plenty of loungers and space for all the guests. The foliage and flowers are beautiful and extremely well kept.. Food: During our stay we.mostly at the buffet, which had a variety of food options. Everyone in our group always found something to enjoy. À la cart options, or a great break from the buffet.

Positives: Beach, ocean, pool area are beautiful. Serving staff and bar tenders, cleaners, entertainment staff were great and friendly. Negatives: Very dated / patched up rooms (especially washrooms); the front desk staff/ guest services and beach activity crew (especially Germain) were horrible - unhelpful / apathetic to any concerns and it was almost like you were inconveniencing them for any small request. Drinks were brutal. No name brand alcohol; drinks were watered down and really sugary; wine was really gross; beer was ok. Food was just ok. Pizza at the Italian restaurant was the best thing we had all week. I’m picky and don’t enjoy a lot of greasy food so I mostly lived on toast and fruit. We were here for 6 nights and were told we were entitled to 3 a-la cart nights. When we checked in on a Sunday they told us “sorry all of the people who came in Saturday booked them for the week”. I’m sorry what? How is that even possible for people who arrived a day before to get all of the reservations for the week and we were told “waitlist”. My husband pressured them a lot and we finally got 2 of 3 but it was a fight. Once at the restaurants; they were half full. Did not flip tables. One seating per night and that was it. They could have accommodated so many more people if the flipped tables. Half of the people we spoke to didn’t get one a-la-cart this week (March Break). Yes it was a busy week; but when you know it’s a busy week you need to be more prepared.

We had a terrible room looking at a fence. Shower above sounded like a freight train, AC the same. `Asked for another room, said were full, they were not. Of 250 rooms we got one of a few with no view, We wonder if it was we got a better rate Expedia we got a poor quality room

Room was clean, the staff was accommodating and as very helpful. There was a variety of activities that were included at no extra charge to the resort. We ended up signing up for the membership and definitely can’t wait to return.

I have absolutely zero complaints about this hotel. Yes the rooms are a little dated, but that is the only negative thing I have to say. The food was incredible, we ate at the Italian restaurant one night and Mark our server went above and beyond. The entertainment staff was outstanding and strived for the guests to have an amazing time. The front desk ladies were incredibly helpful and the bartenders were always in positive attitudes and having a good time. I recommend this hotel 10x over and over!!

Had a great time beaches are beautiful staff is very friendly. Amenities are run down. Food was ok but nothing great. Towel service was impossible to get for beach towels. The resort needs serious upgrades and renovations. With a few little tweeks and the resort would be good.

Fourth time at this property. They are clearly investing money as we saw a lot of improvements, like new bedding, paint jobs, and other clean-up projects. There are tons of things to do. The drinks are fun, plentiful, and as strong as you like. The food is so-so, but it’s about average for an all-inclusive resort. With any luck, we’ll be back next year

I faced the trapeze area which was fine. Did hear too much noise at some nights coming from the shows. I went solo , but made good friends with folks who liked to go on long beach walks, see Nat. Luyacan park and Gold Rock beach.

Room right on beach, beach was gorgeous! Perfect for budget friendly travelers. Rooms are clean, but are outdated and need to be renovated. In some rooms paint is clumpy and in places, peeling. Hanger rod and hooks were rusty. Loved the 3 restaurants on site, and enjoyed the daily/nightly entertainment. Would I go again? For the price, and the tranquil vibe, yes.

Great staff, all very friendly and helpful. We had a slight view of the Ocean. Very relaxing atmosphere. Great evening shows for the family to enjoy. Room was a bit muggy, once we turned down the A/C it cooled down (A/C very loud).

We had a room on the second floor overlooking the beach and the ocean. It was a long walk to food or either bar. There were a lot of children and a lot of entertainment for the kids and their parents. The staff was always friendly and helpful

The staff ande the entire stay worth it. The hotel is old though. The entertainment staff take the cake. The director, Carlos is the funniest dude I’ve seen doing this though. Pretty cool and talented people in the crew. Great daily shows. The food and drinks were very good. Drinks were not watery like at some all inclusive resorts. I would definitely recommend this place.
